IMPORTANT!

NEVER use the Car Seat on a passenger seat fitted with a front air bag. Death or

serious injury may occur.

Please read the whole of this instruction guide carefully. Failure to

do so could put your child in danger.

The Mothercare Maine Base can only be used with the Maine infant carrier.

The base with its adjustable front support leg has been tested and certified according to

ECE R44.04 Semi-Universal approval.

This approval will be invalidated if you make any modiﬁcation or alteration to the base or

infant carrier.

Modiﬁcations can only be made by the manufacturer.

POSSIBLE SEATING POSITIONS

The Mothercare Maine Base must be fitted in accordance with the user guide.

Not all infant carrier bases fit all vehicles.

For advice as to the suitability of the Mothercare Maine Base please consult the vehicle

application list before you purchase and install the base to make sure that the make, model

and year of your vehicle/s is suitable.

Please consult the vehicle handbook

to locate the vehicle ISOFIX points.

The category of this child restraint is“SEMI-UNIVERSAL” and it is suitable for installation in the

vehicles and in the seat positions indicated in the vehicle application list.

Other vehicles and seat positions may also be suitable for this restraint system.

If in doubt, consult the manufacturer or retailer.

This is an ISOFIX SYSTEM FOR CHILDREN. Approved under Regulation Number 44.04, Supplement

9,04 series of amendments, for general use in vehicles equipped with an ISOFIX fastening system.

It can be fitted in vehicles with positions approved as “ISOFIX positions”(as listed in the vehicle

manual), depending on the category of child seat and the fastening systems.

The mechaniasm has been designed for an ISOFIX size class and weight group of:

0-13kg and Class E.

Warning! Do not place rear-facing child seats on front seat with

activated airbag. Death or serious injury can occur.

Warning! The support leg must always have direct contact with the ﬂoor of the vehicle.

Make sure that your vehicle/s is listed in the vehicle application list which is provided with base.

Read the whole instruction guide and make sure that you fully understand how to install and use

the Mothercare Maine base correctly.

Do not place anything such as a towel or cushion under the Mothercare Maine base.

This could affect the performance of the base when in use.

Never buy a second hand base.

Always replace a Mothercare Maine base after an accident. It may have unseen damage.

Always secure the Mothercare Maine base on the vehicles ISOFIX points.

Do not place any objects in the foot well in front of the Mothercare Maine base.

Do not make unauthorised modiﬁcations or alterations to the Mothercare Maine base.

Do not allow children to play with or adjust the Mothercare Maine base.

Do not leave children alone in the vehicle.

Make sure your Mothercare Maine base does not become trapped in the door of the vehicle or

by a folding seat.

Make sure that all folding vehicle seats are securely latched.

Do not ﬁt the Mothercare Maine base on a side or rear facing vehicle seat.

Always store the Mothercare Maine base in a safe, dry place when it is not being used.

WARNING! Ensure that all luggage/objects, on the parcel shelf for instance, likely to cause injury

in the event of an accident are properly secured.

WARNING! Do not use any load-bearing contact points other than those described in the instructions

and marked on the restraint system.

Front Seat: Anyone, especially children, travelling in the front seat of a car must be properly restrained.

Children under three years must use a suitable approved restraint system.

Rear Seat: All adults and children must use seat belts or child restraints where they are ﬁtted in the rear

of a car and are available for use. If the appropriate restraint is not available, children from 3 years must

wear an adult seat belt if available.

Your child's safety is your responsibility.

WARNING! If you are in any doubt about installation and proper use of your seat, please contact your

nearest Mothercare store.

WARNING! Before use check that the child restraint is compatible for use in your car.

WARNING! Never place your child in the seat without securing them with the harness.

WARNING! Always check that folding seats in the vehicle are locked securely before installing

the child restraint.

WARNING! When a child is in the front seat, the lighter passenger should be behind the child,

whilst taking into account child car seat contact with vehicle seats throughout the development of new

products, Mothercare cannot accept responsibility for damage occurring to vehicle seats or seat belts.
