General safety
• The appliance was designed fordomestic use inside the
home and is not intended for commercial or industrial use.
• Theappliancemustbeusedtostoreandfreezefoodproducts
by adults only and according to the instructions in this manual.
• Theappliancemustnotbeinstalledoutdoors,evenincovered
areas. It is extremely dangerous to leave the appliance
exposedtorainandstorms.
• Donottouchtheappliancewithbarefeetorwithwetormoist
hands and feet.
• Donottouchtheinternalcoolingelements:thiscouldcause
skinabrasionsorfrost/freezerburns.
• Whenunpluggingtheappliancealwayspulltheplugfromthe
mainssocket,donotpullonthecable.
• Before cleaning and maintenance, always switch off the
applianceanddisconnectitfromtheelectricalsupply.-Itis
notenoughtoturnoffthedevice(withtheON/OFFbutton)
to eliminate all electric contacts.
• Inthecaseofamalfunction,undernocircumstancesshould
youattempttorepairtheapplianceyourself.Repairscarried
out by inexperienced persons may cause injury or further
malfunctioningoftheappliance.
• Do not use any sharp or pointed utensils or electrical
equipment - other than the type recommended by the
manufacturer-insidethefrozenfoodstoragecompartments.
• Donotputicecubestakendirectlyfromthefreezerintoyour
mouth.
• Thisapplianceisnotintendedforusebypersons(including
children)withreducedphysical,sensoryorlackofexperience
and knowledge unless they have been given Supervision
orinstructionconcerninguseoftheappliancebyaperson
responsiblefortheirsafety.ChildrenshouldbeSupervised
toensurethattheydonotplaywiththeappliance.
• Keeppackagingmaterialoutofthereachofchildren!Itcan
becomeachokingorsuffocationhazard.
Disposal
• Observe local environmental standards when disposing
packagingmaterialforrecyclingpurposes.
• TheEuropeanDirective2012/19/EUonWasteElectricaland
ElectronicEquipment(WEEE),requires thatoldhousehold
electricalappliancesmustnotbedisposedofinthenormal
unsorted municipal waste stream. Old appliances must
be collected separately in order to optimise the recovery
and recycling of the materials they contain and reduce the
impactonhumanhealthandtheenvironment.Thecrossed
out“wheeledbin”symbolontheproductremindsyouofyour
obligation,thatwhenyoudisposeoftheapplianceitmustbe
separatelycollected.Consumersshouldcontacttheirlocal
authority or retailer for information concerning the correct
disposaloftheiroldappliance.
Respecting and conserving the
environment
• Install the appliance in a fresh and well-ventilated room.
Ensurethatitis protected from direct sunlight anddonot
placeitnearheatsources.
• Trytoavoidkeepingthedooropenforlongperiodsoropening
the door too frequently in order to conserve energy.
• Donotfilltheappliancewithtoomuchfood:coldairmust
circulatefreelyforfoodtobepreservedproperly.Ifcirculation
isimpeded,thecompressorwillworkcontinuously.
• Donotplacehotfooddirectlyintotherefrigerator.Theinternal
temperaturewillincreaseandforcethecompressortowork
harder and will consume more energy.
• Defrosttheapplianceificeforms(see Maintenance). A thick
layeroficemakescoldtransferencetofoodproductsmore
difficultandresultsinincreasedenergyconsumption.
Troubleshooting
Iftheappliancedoesnotwork,beforecallingforAssistance(see
Assistance),checkforasolutionfromthefollowinglist.
The interface is off.
•Theplugisnotinsertedintheoutlet,oritisnotpowerfulenough
tocreateacontact,orthereisnoelectricityinthehouse.
The motor does not start.
• Theappliancecomes with a motorprotectioncontrol(see
Start-up and use).

The food inside the refrigerator is beginning to freeze.

• Thefood is in contact with the back inside wall of the
refrigerator.
The motor runs continuously.
• TheSUPERbuttonwaspressed:theyellowSUPERindicator
ison(seeDescription).
• Thedoorisnotclosedproperlyoriscontinuouslyopened.
• Theoutsideambienttemperatureisveryhigh.
Theappliancemakesalotofnoise.
• Theappliancehasnotbeeninstalledonalevelsurface(see
Installation).
• The appliance has been installed between cabinets that
vibrate and make noise.
• Theinternalrefrigerantmakesaslightnoiseevenwhenthe
compressorisoff.Thisisnotadefect,itisnormal.

Consumers’ Optional Rights
Ifthecommodityisunderstoodtobedefectiveunderarticle
11of Consumer Protection Law, consumershallbeentitled to
optionalrights(i)tonotifythesellerthatheisreadytoreturnsold
itemandrenegeoncontract,(ii)tokeepsolditemandrequest
rebate from sales price pro rata to defect, (iii) to request free
ofchargerepairofsold item, allexpensesatseller’saccount,
ifnoexcessiveexpenseisrequired,(iv)ifpossible,torequest
replacementofsolditemwithanidenticalitemfreeofdefects.
Rightsofrequestingfreerepairorreplacementofthecommodity
withidenticalitemfreeoffdefectsmayalsobeexercisedagainst
manufacturerorimporter.
