SAFETY WARNINGS

General power tool safety warnings

WARNING: Read all safety warnings, instruc-

tions, illustrations and specications provided

with this power tool. F ailure to f ollow all instruc tions

listed below may result in electric shock, re and/or

serious injury.

Save all warnings and instruc-

tions for future reference.

T h e term " pow er tool" in th e w arnings ref ers to y our

mains-operated ( c ord ed ) pow er tool or battery -operated

( c ord less) pow er tool.

Recipro saw safety warnings

1 .

Hold the power tool by insulated gripping sur-

faces, when performing an operation where the

cutting accessory may contact hidden wiring or

its own cord. C utting ac c essory c ontac ting a " liv e"

w ire may make ex posed metal parts of th e pow er tool

" liv e" and c ould giv e th e operator an elec tric sh oc k.

Use clamps or another practical way to secure

and support the workpiece to a stable platform.

H old ing th e w orkpiec e by h and or against y our bod y

leav es it unstable and may lead to loss of c ontrol.

Always use safety glasses or goggles. Ordinary

eye or sun glasses are NOT safety glasses.

4 . Avoid cutting nails. Inspect workpiece for any

nails and remove them before operation.

5 . Do not cut oversize workpiece.

6 . Check for the proper clearance beyond the

workpiece before cutting so that the blade will

not strike the oor, workbench, etc.

7. Hold the tool rmly.

8 . Make sure the blade is not contacting the

workpiece before the switch is turned on.

9 . Keep hands away from moving parts.

1 0. Do not leave the tool running. Operate the tool

only when hand-held.

1 1 . Always switch off and wait for the blade to

come to a complete stop before removing the

blade from the workpiece.

1 2. Do not touch the blade or the workpiece imme-

diately after operation; they may be extremely

hot and could burn your skin.

1 3. Do not operate the tool at no-load

unnecessarily.

Always use the correct dust mask/respirator for

the material and application you are working with.

Some material contains chemicals which may be

toxic. Take caution to prevent dust inhalation and

skin contact. Follow material supplier safety data.

16. Before operation, make sure that there is no

buried object such as electric pipe, water pipe

or gas pipe in the workpiece. O th erw ise, th e

FUNCTIONAL

DESCRIPTION

CAUTION: Always be sure that the tool is

switched off and unplugged before adjusting or

checking function on the tool.

Switch action

WARNING: Before plugging in the tool,

always check to see that the switch trigger actu-

ates properly and returns to the "OFF" position

when released.

WARNING: Switch can be locked in "ON"

position for ease of operator comfort during

extended use. Apply caution when locking tool in

"ON" position and maintain rm grasp on tool.

CAUTION: Return the switch trigger to the

"OFF" position in case of accidental unplugging,

blackout, or the power is cut unintentionally.

power returns and it may result in personal injury.

T o start th e tool, simply pull th e sw itc h trigger. T ool

speed is inc reased by inc reasing pressure on th e sw itc h

trigger. R elease th e sw itc h trigger to stop.

F or c ontinuous operation, pull th e sw itc h trigger and

th en push in th e loc k button. T o stop th e tool f rom th e

loc ked position, pull th e sw itc h trigger f ully , th en release

it.

potentially unstable location.

ASSEMBLY

CAUTION: Always be sure that the tool is

switched off and unplugged before carrying out

any work on the tool.

Installing or removing the recipro

saw blade

CAUTION: Always clean out all chips or for-

eign matter adhering to the blade and around the

blade clamp. Failure to do so may cause insufcient

tightening of the blade, resulting in aserious injury.

Bef ore installing th e rec ipro saw blad e, alw ay s make

sure th at th e blad e c lamp lev er ( part of th e blad e c lamp

sleev e) is in released position on th e insulation

cover. If the blade clamp lever is in xed position, rotate

th e blad e c lamp lev er in th e d irec tion of th e arrow so

th at it c an be loc ked at th e released position .

I nsert th e rec ipro saw blad e into th e blad e c lamp as f ar

as it will go. The blade clamp sleeve rotates and xes the

rec ipro saw blad e. Make sure th at th e rec ipro saw blad e

c annot be ex trac ted ev en th ough y ou try to pull it out.

CAUTION: If you do not insert the recipro saw

blade deep enough, the recipro saw blade may be

ejected unexpectedly during operation. T h is c an

be ex tremely d angerous.

T o remov e th e rec ipro saw blad e, rotate th e blad e

c lamp lev er in th e d irec tion of th e arrow f ully . T h e rec i-

pro saw blad e is remov ed and th e blad e c lamp lev er is

xed at the released position .

CAUTION: Keep hands and ngers away from

the lever during the switching operation. Failure

to do so may cause personal injuries.

NOTE:

loc ked in th e released position . I n th is c ase, rotate

th e blad e c lamp lev er f ully again, th en make sure th at

th e blad e c lamp lev er loc ked at th e released position .

NOTE: I f th e blad e c lamp lev er is positioned insid e

the tool, switch on the tool just asecond to let the

blad e out. U nplug th e tool bef ore installing or remov -

ing th e rec ipro saw blad e.

OPERATION

CAUTION: Always hold the tool rmly with

one hand on insulation cover and the other on the

switch handle.

CAUTION: Always press the shoe rmly

against the workpiece during operation. I f th e

sh oe is remov ed or h eld aw ay f rom th e w orkpiec e

d uring operation, strong v ibration and / or tw isting w ill

be prod uc ed , c ausing th e blad e to snap d angerously .

CAUTION:

Always wear gloves to protect your

hands from hot ying chips when cutting metal.

CAUTION: Be sure to always wear suitable

eye protection which conforms with current

national standards.

CAUTION: Always use a suitable coolant

(cutting oil) when cutting metal. F ailure to d o so w ill

c ause premature blad e w ear.

CAUTION:

Do not quirk the blade during cutting.

Press the shoe rmly against the workpiece. Do not

allow th e tool to bounc e. Bring th e rec ipro saw blad e

into ligh t c ontac t w ith th e w orkpiec e. F irst, make a pilot

groov e using a slow er speed . T h en use a f aster speed

to c ontinue c utting.

away from the workpiece or without the shoe.

MAINTENANCE

CAUTION: Always be sure that the tool is

perform inspection or maintenance.

alcohol or the like. Discoloration, deformation or

cracks may result.

1 . Tenez l’outil électrique par une surface de

prise isolée, lorsque vous effectuez une tâche

où l’accessoire de coupe pourrait toucher un

câblage caché ou son propre cordon d’alimen-

Utilisez des dispositifs de serrage ou un autre

moyen pratique pour xer la pièce sur une sur-

3. Portez toujours des lunettes de sécurité. Les

lunettes ordinaires et les lunettes de soleil NE

sont PAS des lunettes de sécurité.

Évitez de couper les clous. Avant de commencer le

travail, inspectez la pièce et retirez tous les clous.

5 . Ne coupez pas des pièces trop grandes.

6 . Avant d’effectuer la coupe, assurez-vous que

le dégagement sous la pièce est sufsant pour

que la lame ne heurte pas une surface dure

(sol, établi, etc.).

7. Tenez l’outil fermement.

8 . Assurez-vous que la lame n’est pas en contact

avec la pièce avant de mettre l’outil en marche.

9 . Gardez vos mains à l’écart des pièces en

mouvement.

1 0. Ne vous éloignez pas en laissant l’outil tour-

ner. Ne le faites fonctionner que lorsque vous

l’avez bien en main.

1 1 . Avant de retirer la lame de la pièce, mettez

toujours l’outil hors tension et attendez que la

lame soit complètement immobilisée.

1 2. Ne touchez ni la lame ni la pièce immédiate-

ment après la coupe ; elles peuvent être très

chaudes et vous risquez de vous brûler.

1 3. Ne faites pas tourner l’outil à vide inutilement.

14. Portez toujours un masque antipoussières/un

respirateur adapté au matériau travaillé et à

l’application utilisée.

15. Certains matériaux contiennent des produits

chimiques qui peuvent être toxiques. Prenez

garde de ne pas avaler la poussière et évitez

tout contact avec la peau. Suivez les données

de sécurité du fournisseur du matériau.

Avant de commencer, assurez-vous qu’il n’y a pas

d’objets enterrés comme des lignes électriques,

des conduites de gaz ou d’eau dans la pièce.

DESCRIPTION DU

FONCTIONNEMENT

ATTENTION : Assurez-vous toujours que

l’outil est hors tension et débranché avant de

l’ajuster ou de vérier son fonctionnement.

Fonctionnement de la gâchette

AVERTISSEMENT : Avant de brancher l’ou-

til, assurez-vous toujours que la gâchette fonc-

tionne correctement et revient en position d’arrêt

une fois relâchée.

AVERTISSEMENT : Vous pouvez verrouiller

l’interrupteur sur la position « Marche » pour plus

de confort en cas d’utilisation prolongée. Soyez

prudent lorsque vous verrouillez l’outil sur la

position « Marche », et gardez une prise ferme

sur l’outil.

ATTENTION : Ramenez la gâchette sur la

position « Arrêt » en cas de débranchement acci-

dentel, de panne de courant ou de coupure acci-

dentelle de l’alimentation. L ’ outil pourrait autrement

d é marrer brusq uement au ré tablissement d u c ourant

et prov oq uer d es blessures.

Pour démarrer l’outil, il suft d’enclencher la gâchette.

L a v itesse d e l’ outil augmente à mesure q ue v ous

augmentez la pression sur la gâchette. Pour l’arrêter,

relâchez la gâchette.

P our un f onc tionnement c ontinu, enc lenc h ez la

gâchette et poussez le bouton de verrouillage. Pour

arrê ter l’ outil sur la position v errouillé e, enc lenc h ez à

fond la gâchette puis relâchez-la.

Reciprosäge

4 . Vermeiden Sie das Schneiden von Nägeln.

Untersuchen Sie das Werkstück auf Nägel, und

entfernen Sie diese vor der Bearbeitung.

5 . Schneiden Sie keine übergroßen Werkstücke.

6 . Vergewissern Sie sich vor dem Schneiden,

dass genügend Platz hinter dem Werkstück

vorhanden ist, damit das Sägeblatt nicht auf

den Boden, die Werkbank usw. trifft.

7. Halten Sie das Werkzeug mit festem Griff.

8 . Vergewissern Sie sich vor dem Einschalten

des Werkzeugs, dass das Sägeblatt nicht das

Werkstück berührt.

9 . Halten Sie die Hände von beweglichen Teilen

fern.

1 0. Lassen Sie das Werkzeug nicht unbeaufsich-

tigt laufen. Benutzen Sie das Werkzeug nur mit

Handhaltung.

1 1 . Schalten Sie das Werkzeug stets aus, und war-

ten Sie, bis das Sägeblatt zum vollständigen

Stillstand kommt, bevor Sie das Sägeblatt aus

dem Werkstück entfernen.

Schalterfunktion

Anschließen des Werkzeugs an das Stromnetz

stets, dass der Ein-Aus-Schalter ordnungsgemäß

funktioniert und beim Loslassen in die AUS-

Stellung zurückkehrt.

Arbeitserleichterung bei längerem Einsatz in

il pezzo, prima di attivare l’interruttore.

9 . Tenere le mani lontane dalle parti mobili.

Far funzionare l’utensile solo mentre lo si tiene

1 1 . Spegnere sempre l’utensile e attendere che la

lama si sia arrestata completamente, prima di

rimuoverla dal pezzo.

DESCRIZIONE DELLE

FUNZIONI

ATTENZIONE: Accertarsi sempre che l’uten-

sile sia spento e scollegato dall’alimentazione

prima di regolare o controllare le sue funzioni.

Funzionamento dell’interruttore

AVVERTIMENTO: Prima di collegare l’uten-

sile all’alimentazione elettrica, controllare sempre

che l’interruttore a grilletto funzioni correttamente

e che torni sulla posizione “OFF” quando viene

rilasciato.

AVVERTIMENTO: L’interruttore può essere

bloccato sulla posizione “ON” per comodità

dell’operatore durante l’uso prolungato. Fare

attenzione quando si blocca l’utensile sulla

posizione “ON”, e mantenere una presa salda

sull’utensile.

ATTENZIONE: Riportare l’interruttore a

grilletto sulla posizione di spegnimento “OFF”

in caso di scollegamento accidentale dalla

presa elettrica, mancanza di corrente o qualora

l’alimentazione elettrica venga interrotta invo-

lontariamente. I n c aso c ontrario, l’ utensile potrebbe

av v iarsi improv v isamente al ritorno d ell’ alimentaz ione

elettric a, c ausand o lesioni personali.

Per avviare l’utensile, èsufciente premere l’interruttore

ATTENZIONE: Accertarsi sempre che l’uten-

sile sia spento e scollegato dall’alimentazione

Installazione o rimozione della lama

per seghetto diritto

ATTENZIONE: Rimuovere sempre tutti i tru-

cioli e le sostanze estranee attaccati alla lama e

intorno al fermo lama. I n c aso c ontrario, il serraggio

della lama potrebbe risultare insufciente ecausare

lesioni personali grav i.

P rima d i installare la lama per segh etto d iritto, ac c er-

Inserire no in fondo la lama per seghetto diritto nel

fermo lama. La bussola del fermo lama gira essa la

lama per segh etto d iritto. A c c ertarsi c h e la lama per

segh etto d iritto non possa v enire estratta, anc h e se si

c erc a d i tirarla f uori.

ATTENZIONE: Qualora non si inserisca la

lama per seghetto diritto abbastanza a fondo, la

lama potrebbe venire espulsa improvvisamente

durante l’uso. C iò potrebbe essere estremamente

peric oloso.

c ompletamente la lev a d el f ermo lama nella d irez ione

FUNZIONAMENTO

zione adatta per gli occhi conforme agli standard

nazionali correnti.

ATTENZIONE: Quando si intende tagliare

metalli, utilizzare sempre un refrigerante adatto

(olio da taglio). L a manc ata osserv az ione d i q uesta

ATTENZIONE: Non fare svolazzi con la lama

durante il taglio.
