necessarily delivered with the POWERPACK FELCO 880.

Dear Customer,

Thank you for purchasing the POWERPACK FELCO 880.

Properly operated and maintained, this package and its

contents will give you years of satisfaction.

It is IMPERATIVE to read this manual in its entirety

before using the tool, or proceeding to maintenance

operations. Follow carefully the instructions and

illustrations provided in this document.

Throughout this User manual, you shall find warnings and

information with the following headings: NOTE, WARNING or

CAUTION. A NOTE provides further information, clarifies a

point, or explains a step to be followed in detail. The

WARNING, or CAUTION indication is used to identify a

procedure which, if neglected or performed improperly, can

result in property damage and/or serious injury. The

WARRANTY warning indicates that if the procedures or

instructions are not complied with, the damage is not covered

by warranty and repair costs will be borne by the owner.

On the various components, safety signs also point to the

guidelines to be adopted for safety. Locate and read these

signs before using the POWERPACK. Immediately replace

any damaged or partially unreadable sign.

Refer to the "SAFETY MARKINGS" for the list of safety signs

affixed on the various components.

No part of this manual may be reproduced without the written

permission of FELCO SA. The technical features and

illustrations in this manual are provided solely for guidance

and are not binding in any way. Company FELCO SA

reserves the right to proceed to any modification or

improvement to its products, as it deems necessary, without

any prior notification to customers who already own a similar

model. This manual is an integral part of the tool and must

accompany it in case of transfer.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION:

Your equipment comprises numerous

materials which can be valorised or

recycled. Entrust these to your reseller or to

an authorized dealer so that they can be

processed.

SAFETY MEASURES

• POWERPACK FELCO 880 is a device designed

exclusively for the power supply and operation of

electro portable FELCO tools (see illustration A on

page 4).

• Company FELCO SA waives any responsibility in the

event of damages caused as a result of inappropriate

use, other than the one prescribed.

• Company FELCO SA further declines any responsibility

for damages arising from the use of non-original parts

or accessories.

SECURITY MEASURES RELATED TO THE USE OF

THE CHARGER 11 AND THE BATTERY 09

• When operating, the temperature of the charger 11 can

reach +60°C (+140°F). There must be no flammable

material within 1.5 meters of the charger 11 and the

battery 09.

• Keep the charger 11 and the battery 09 out of reach of

children and on a non-combustible support.

• Do not prevent it from cooling.

• Do not use or leave the battery 09 near a source of

heat (> +80°C / +176°F).

• Do not leave the battery 09 in strong sunlight.

• Do not expose the battery 09 to microwaves or high

pressure.

• Do not immerse the battery 09 in water.

• The charger 11 delivered with the tool is intended

exclusively for charging the Li-Po battery 09 of the

FELCO 880 POWERPACK. Do not charge non-

rechargeable batteries or batteries from other

manufacturers.

• The battery 09 must be charged in a dry ventilated

room where the temperature is between +10°C (+50°F)

and +25°C (+77°F) maximum, and protected from

humidity.

• If the battery 09 is not used for 14 days, it automatically

discharges down to a storage level and will generate

heat during this phase.

• Over time, the capacity of the battery 09 will decrease.

When it reaches half its original autonomy, it must be

replaced.

• The charge area must be equipped with an extinguisher

for ﬁre involving electrical equipment which is in

working order.

• The charger must be connected to a power source

which complies with the standard EN60204.1.

• In the framework of shipping the complete FELCO 880

POWERPACK, or only the battery(ies) 09: follow the

applicable standards. Battery 09 is a product classified

as per UN 3481, class 9 packaging group II. Packing

Instructions 967.

SAFETY MEASURES RELATED TO THE USE OF

THE TOOL

• Verify that switch 07 located on the remote control

housing 06 is set to position "OFF" before

disconnecting battery 09 from the control housing 04.

• Disconnect the power cord 02 of the tool prior to any

intervention to it.

• It is strictly forbidden to open control housing 04.

• Keep POWERPACK FELCO 880 out of reach of

children.

• When a tool is not used, systematically set switch 07,

located on the remote housing 06 to the "OFF" position,

in order to prevent bodily injuries and the deep

discharge of the battery 09.

• Using a battery 09 other than the one provided by

FELCO SA is forbidden and dangerous (risk of serious

injury). In this case, FELCO SA is relieved from full

responsibility.

• Do not use POWERPACK FELCO 880 and its contents

for any purpose other than the originally intended

(exclusive use with an electro portable FELCO tool (see

table A on page 4).

• Do not use POWERPACK FELCO 880 and its contents,

if their appearance is abnormal (deformation, abnormal

odor, smoke...). Any fumes may cause temporary

inconvenience the people who inhale them.

• Never store battery 09 with a capacity less than 50%.

Recharge it prior to storage, in case the value is less

than 50%. To check the charging status of the

battery 09, connect the battery 09 to the control

housing 04, set switch 07 to "ON" and visualize the

charging status on the display 08 of the remote

housing 06. More than 5 illuminated bars indicate that

battery 09 is charged to more than 50%.

• In case of suspicious smoke place the battery 09 and/or

the charger 11 outside the charging area, or the

transport vehicle, as far as possible from any

combustible material.

• Battery 09 must be protected from impacts and must be

positioned and clamped during transportation.

• FELCO 880 POWERPACK should not be used by

people with pacemakers without medical authorization.

Remove POWERPACK 880 from case 14.

It is forbidden to use any

other charger than that

supplied by FELCO SA.

CAUTION

During initial use, if you try to work with your pruning

shear 15 without prior charging of the battery 09, the pruning

shear will not work.

As battery 09 has been set automatically to "storage" mode,

the first thing to do is to connect battery 09 to charger 11. To

do this proceed as follows (see Figure B on page 4):

1. Connect battery 09 to charger 11.

2. Connect the power cord 13 adapted to your supply grid

to charger 11.

3. Connect charger 11 to the power grid.

4. The indicator light 12 on the charger 11 turns red.

5. Once battery 09 is charged, the indicator light 12 turns

green.

6. Disconnect charger 11 from the power grid.

7. Disconnect battery 09 from charger 11.

8. Verify that operation switch 07 is set to "OFF" position.

9. Connect the plug of the battery 09 to one of the two

corresponding jacks of the control housing 04. Note:

Connection is functional on both jacks.

10. Connect the power cord of the pruning shear 02 to the

pruning shear 15. Note: If you are left-handed, route the

power cord of the pruning shear through the left side of

the rucksack 03.

USE

(See illustration C on page 5).

1. Pre-set the lap belt.

2. Attach the holster 10 on the belt on the left or right side

depending on whether you are left or right handed.

3. Put on the rucksack.

4. Fasten the lap belt.

5. Adjust the lap belt at waist height.

6. Adjust the shoulder straps.

7. Close the chest strap.

8. Adjust the chest strap.

9. Hold the pruning shear 15 in your hand, toggle switch 07

of the remote housing 06, from the "OFF" to the "ON"

position (the display 08 of the remote housing 06 is

activated).

10. Press once on trigger 16 and blade 17 opens. (Blade 17

opening and locking is proportional to the pressure

applied by the finger). When activating the tool, you will

hear audio signals (beeps). In order to interpret them,

refer to chapter: "AUDIBLE NOTIFICATIONS" in this user

manual.

11. In order to stop the pruning shear 15, close the blade 17

using the trigger 16, keep the blade closed, toggle

switch 07 to the "OFF" position (the display 08 of the

remote housing 06 closes). It is also possible to

temporarily stop the pruning shear 15 using option

"STAND-BY MODE" see "REMOTE HOUSING".

NOTES

• In order to save the energy fed by battery 09 and to

also ensure maximum autonomy for the pruning

shear 15, consider using option "semi-opening" which is

adjustable to 50%, 60%, or 70%. (Refer to chapter

"REMOTE HOUSING", "SEMI-OPENING SETTING"

MENU). This option offers precious time-saving when

pruning small diameters. (Only available with

FELCO 801 or FELCO 820).

• If the wood is too thick, the pruning shear 15 stops in

the closing direction. Only opening is possible.

ADVICE FOR USE

• You must take all precautions to prevent the

entanglement of the pruning shear power supply

cord 02 in the branches. In order to do this, prefer

routing cord 02 along your shoulder and not around

your waist. In any case, if you wish to use the cord

around the waist, exit the cord 02 either from the top, or

from the left or right opening on the lower part of the

rucksack (depending on whether you are right- or left-

hander), then attach the cord 02 to the arm using an

arm band (ref. 800/301, available as an option at your

preferred authorized dealer), or route it under your

sleeve.

• In cold or wet conditions, protect "POWERPACK

FELCO 880" carrying it under your raincoat.

• If required, you may increase the autonomy of your

POWERPACK FELCO 880 (Refer to illustration D on

page 5) using a second battery. The second battery

may be connected, in parallel, to the second jack of the

control housing 04. On the other hand, if you wish to

have a lighter rucksack, it is recommended to replace a

discharged battery 09 with a second battery 09

previously charged.

• The battery(ies) is discharged when the indicator of the

remote housing 08 indicates the following:

BATTERY CHARGING

1. Proceed as described in Section: "INITIAL USE".

2. When the indicator light 12 on charger 11 becomes red,

battery 09 is being charged. The average charging

duration is 2 hours. Charging is completed when the

indicator light 12 on the charger 11 turns green. A second

check can be done by means of connecting the

battery(ies) 09 to control housing 04 and activating

pruning shear 15 with the switch 07. The display 08 of

the remote housing 06 displays the following:

3. As soon as charging is completed: disconnect the power

cord 13 from the power grid and then disconnect

battery 09 from charger 11.

NOTES

• Battery 09 may remain in the rucksack during charging

but can also be extracted and charged on another

support.

CAUTION

• Using a charger other than charger 11 that comes with

the material is prohibited. Failure to observe this

instruction may lead to the premature deterioration of

the battery 09 and in addition to a risk of injury.

• If battery 09 is not used for 14 days, it automatically

enters "storage" mode. Its voltage drops to about 50%

of full load automatically and its internal consumption is

reduced to a minimum. In this mode, battery 09 can not

be used as is. To exit the "storage" mode, suffices to

connect it to charger 11 in order to be able to use

FELCO 880 POWERPACK correctly.

CHARGER

• Charger 11 delivered with the tool is intended for

charging exclusively the battery 09 of POWERPACK

FELCO 880.

• If the output cable of charger 11 supplying battery 09 is

cut or damaged, the entire charger 11 assembly must

be returned to the authorized dealer from whom the tool

was purchased.

• Charger 11 does not require any special maintenance

but should be in a ventilated area, away from heat, dust

and moisture.

• If indicator light 12 (red during charging / green when

charged) does not light during charging:

1. Disconnect the power cord 13 from the power grid.

2. Check the power grid by means of plugging in

another device.

3. Reconnect the power cord 13 to the power grid. If

charger 11 remains non-operational, return the

assembly (charger 11, power cord 13 and battery 09)

to the authorized dealer, packed in its original

packaging.

CHANGING THE BATTERY

Battery 09 can be changed at any time through a simple visit

to your dealer and proceeding to the substitution of the

damaged battery with a new one.

CAUTION

Only original FELCO SA batteries can be connected to

control housing 04. FELCO SA shall not accept any

responsibility in case of connection of a battery other than an

original FELCO SA battery. Any injury or damage caused by

the use of a battery that is not an original FELCO SA battery,

is the responsibility and shall be borne by the buyer violating

this clause.

OUTSIDE THE PRUNING PERIOD

• Store POWERPACK FELCO 880, in its transportation

case 14 away from heat, dust and moisture, in a

conditioned area between +10°C (+50°F) and +40°C

(+104°F). Do not place any flammable objects at a

distance less than 1.5 meters from the battery 09.

Ensure that switch 07 is set to "OFF" position.

• Never store POWERPACK FELCO 880 at an ambient

temperature exceeding +40°C (+104°F).

CAUTION

• To preserve the longevity of the battery 09 and prevent

its deterioration, it is imperative to store it in charged

condition and recharge it every 12 months when not in

use.

• Do not operate switch 07 during the storage period.

• It is recommended, during OFF SEASON period, to

perform a general inspection of your tool, at an

authorized dealer. For more information, consult your

authorized dealer, or contact us.

USB POWER SUPPLY

The control housing 04 is equipped with a USB power

supply connector 05 (Type A IP67) which allows you to

charge small electronic devices such as walkmans, mobile

phones and other mobile accessories. This power supply is

only active when switch 07 is set to "ON". It is not designed

to charge laptops, touch pads and other equipment not

specified above.

REMOTE HOUSING

The remote housing 06 allows you to check the charging

status of your batteries 09 as well as to view statistics,

enable/disable operation options, or perform preliminary

diagnostics in case of breakdowns, or malfunctions.

The operation of the remote housing 06 is very simple and

intuitive (see illustration E on page 5):



The commands defined above, are the ones used

systematically in all remote housing 06 menus.

LAUNCHING

When used with a FELCO 801 or a FELCO 820, upon

starting the tool using switch 07 located on the remote

unit 06, the following information is provided on the display, if

the value of the number of cuts until the next service equals 0

or is less than 0.

This value provides an indication of the number of cuts that

you can still perform before a service is recommended.

If this value is positive, a few seconds later the display shows

automatically the battery charge level.

If the value is negative, in order to display the batteries

charge levels you must use command PUSH of the remote

housing 06.

When used with FELCO 800 or FELCO 810, upon launching

the tool, the information related to next service is not

available, the display shows automatically the batteries

charge level.

In order to navigate in the various menus, refer to the

NOTES

• The options, "Semi-open setting", "Standby Mode" and

"Non-progressive mode" are only available if the

POWERPACK FELCO 880 is used with FELCO 801 or

FELCO 820 pruning shears.

MENU "CUT STATISTICS" (FELCO 801, 820, 800 OR 810)

PUSH 2 sec=RESET

Left part # XXXXXX = Number of cuts made since the last

reset of the counter.

Right part XXX h YY m = Time of tool usage in hours and

minutes since the last reset of the counter.

If you press the joystick for 2 seconds (PUSH command), the

2 counters of this screen are reset to zero.

"CUT TYPES" MENU (FELCO 801, 820, 800 OR 810)

S (SMALL) = Percentage of small diameter cuts,

M (MEDIUM) = Percentage of medium diameter cuts,

L (LARGE) = Percentage of large cuts

performed since the last counter reset. The different levels of

cuts classifications are determined on the basis of the

averages and these values should be considered as an

indication.

If you press the joystick for 2 seconds (PUSH command), the

3 counters of this screen are reset to zero.

"BLOCKAGE" MENU (FELCO 801, 820, 800 OR 810)

PUSH 2 sec=RESET

XX% XXL = Percentage of cutting head blockages since the

last reset of the counter. Shows whether the diameters of

wood cut correspond to the capacity of the tool and whether

the tool is used properly.

If you press the joystick for 2 seconds (PUSH command), the

counter of this screen is reset to zero.

"SEMI-OPENING SETTING" MENU (FELCO 801 AND

FELCO 820 ONLY)

POWERPACK FELCO 880 is factory set to switch cutting

head to semi-opening mode when pressing 2 times rapidly

on the trigger 16 of the tool. To return to full opening mode,

simply press the trigger 16 again 2 times, quickly. The 4

displays below allow you to choose the type of semi-opening

mode desired with the tool (50%, 60% or 70%), or to disable

this option.

REG ON = POWERPACK FELCO 880 is factory set to the

option of operating the blade 17 in progressive mode

(Trigger 16 activating proportionally blade 17). However, it is

possible to work in non-progressive mode, same as with

pneumatic pruning shears by disabling this option via the

joystick (PUSH command).

CAUTION

This non progressive mode IS ACTIVE only if the tool is

activated. Once the tool is turned off, the mode returns

automatically to progressive.

TROUBLESHOOTING

"DIAGNOSTIC" MENU (FELCO 801, FELCO 820, 800 OR

810)

Allows you to enter the menu of diagnostics and

troubleshooting. You can access this submenu by activating

the joystick using "PUSH" and you can exit the menu using

any of the functions of the joystick. The diagnostics of the

tool and the battery(ies) are performed automatically in

sequence. Each diagnostic procedure is executed in a loop

until the user touches the joystick in any way.

CAUTION

To run complete diagnostics, a FELCO electro portable tool

must be plugged. The diagnostics made in this way must

always be validated by an authorized dealer, who has

privileged access to the online FELCO advanced diagnostics

platform.

This test verifies whether the battery 09 is working properly,

or not. If everything works correctly, the status will be: OK.

CAUTION

If only one battery 09 is connected, the test of the other

battery 09 will have the status: KO.

If a battery 09 is in "storage" mode and is connected to the

A self-test of the control housing 04 is performed. This allows

This alarm occurs if any of the following components

becomes too hot: Battery 09, control housing 04, or motor.

The power output is automatically reduced until the

temperature of these components drops back to the correct

values.

AUDIBLE NOTIFICATIONS

The user is helped by sound signals emitted by the control

housing 04 of POWERPACK FELCO 880:

AT THE ACTIVATION OF THE TOOL

Transmission of a long sound signal followed by:

- 3 short sound signals = connection to a tool of FELCO 801

or FELCO 820 type - communication is functional

- 2 short sound signals = connection to a tool of FELCO 800

or FELCO 810 type - communication is functional

WHEN SWITCH 07 REMAINS ACTIVATED

After 10 minutes of non use of POWERPACK FELCO 880

with switch 07 set to "ON", it stops automatically. It transmits

5 short sounds of one second for 20 seconds.

To activate again the POWERPACK, set switch 07 to "OFF"

and then back to "ON".

WHEN THE BATTERY OR BATTERIES ARE EMPTY

Once the capacity of the battery 09 reaches a discharge level

that allows no more than a few minutes of use,

POWERPACK FELCO 880 emits a series of five continuous

sounds every minute until complete shutdown of the tool. At

that time, it is no longer possible to use the tool and the

battery is set to stand-by.

CAUTION

When the battery 09 has reached this state, be sure to

recharge it quickly and do not store it in this state for more

than 24 hours.

GUARANTEE AND NON-RESPONSIBILITY CLAUSE

In the event of failure of a mechanical, electrical or electronic

part, and subject to standard and reasonable use, and if the

tool is maintained in accordance with the user manual,

FELCO SA guarantees its products to its end customers for a

period of 2 YEARS as of the date of delivery to the end

customer. This period may not exceed 18 months as of the

dispatch of the material from the factory under the conditions

stipulated in this user manual.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN ANY OF THE PARTS

COMPOSING POWERPACK FELCO 880 (there is risk of

damage and in any case there is risk of guarantee

cancellation).

In the event of an accident and total or partial destruction of

the product, FELCO SA's warranty can only be granted, and

their responsibility engaged, if the party claiming the warranty

can provide technical proof specifying the origin of the

accident, a defect in materials or a structural defect and the

product components which are the cause of it.

This contractual warranty excludes any other responsibility of

FELCO SA, whether implicit or explicit. For this reason, the

responsibility of FELCO SA cannot exceed the limits deﬁned

above and covers, to a limited extent, repair or replacement,

as chosen by FELCO SA, of parts recognized to be defective

and, when applicable, the labour required to perform the

repair or replacement on the basis of warranty time as

deﬁned by FELCO SA.

Any work whatsoever carried out during the warranty period

shall mandatorily be performed by FELCO SA or by a

FELCO SA authorized dealer, under penalty of forfeiture of

the warranty.

All costs arising from the immobilization, movement,

approach and transport shall be, in all events, for the sole

account of the purchaser.

With respect to the normal wear of parts resulting from use

consistent with the user manual, such elements are never

guaranteed unless an obvious manufacturing defect is

expressly recognized by FELCO SA.

FELCO SA and the approved dealer shall not be liable in the

following cases:

• Malfunctions due to faulty servicing, user inexperience

or abnormal use.

• Failure to perform overhauls and checks in accordance

with manufacturer’s instructions.

• Replacement of genuine parts or accessories with parts

or accessories of another origin, or when the product

sold has been transformed or modiﬁed.

This warranty is explicitly limited to the terms deﬁned above.

FELCO SA shall not be liable, under any circumstances, for

payment of any indemnity for any reason whatsoever.

However, it is stated that in accordance with applicable law

regarding liability for products, this contractual guarantee

does not replace the legal guarantee which obliges the seller

to guarantee the purchaser against all consequences of

hidden faults or defects of the item sold.

POWERPACK FELCO 880

FELCO SA guarantees its BATTERY for a period of THREE

YEARS as of the date of delivery to the end customer under

the following conditions:

• the number of recharges does not exceed 200 per year,

• the battery is used between -5°C (23°F) and +30°C

(86°F),

• the battery is charged between +10°C (50°F) and

+25°C (77°F),

• the battery is charged at least once every year,

• the battery does not enter into deep discharge.

MESURES DE SÉCURITÉ LIÉES À L'USAGE DU

CHARGEUR 11 ET DE LA BATTERIE 09

• Pendant son fonctionnement, la température du

chargeur 11 peut atteindre 60°C. Aucune matière

inflammable ne doit se trouver à moins de 1.5 mètres

du chargeur 11 et de la batterie 09.

• Placer le chargeur 11 et la batterie 09 hors de portée

des enfants et sur un support non combustible.

• Ne pas gêner son refroidissement.

• Ne pas utiliser ou laisser la batterie 09 près d'une

source de chaleur (> 80°C).

• Ne pas laisser la batterie 09 sous un soleil ardent.

• Ne pas exposer la batterie 09 aux micro-ondes et

hautes pressions.

• Ne pas immerger la batterie 09 dans l'eau.

• Le chargeur 11 livré avec l'outil est destiné à la

recharge exclusive de la batterie 09 Li-Po du

POWERPACK FELCO 880. Ne pas charger des

batteries non rechargeables ou des batteries d'un autre

fabricant.

• La charge de la batterie 09 doit se faire dans un local

aéré et sec dont la température est comprise entre

+10°C et +25°C maximum, et à l'abri de l'humidité.

• En cas de non utilisation de la batterie 09 pendant 14

jours, la batterie 09 se décharge partiellement de façon

automatique pour se mettre en mode "stockage", un

échauffement de celle-ci se produit durant cette phase.

• Dans le temps, la capacité de votre batterie 09 diminue.

Lorsqu'elle atteint la moitié de son autonomie d'origine,

il y a lieu de la remplacer.

• Le lieu de charge doit être équipé d'un extincteur pour

feu électrique en état de marche.

• Le raccordement du chargeur doit être réalisé à une

source de courant respectant la norme EN60204.1.

• Dans le cadre d'expédition de POWERPACK

FELCO 880 complet(s) ou de batterie(s) 09: respecter

les normes en vigueur. La batterie 09 est un produit

classé: UN 3481 classe 9 groupe d'emballage II.

MESURES DE SÉCURITÉ LIÉES À L'USAGE DE

L'OUTIL

• Vérifier que l'interrupteur 07 se trouvant sous le boîtier

déporté 06 est bien en position arrêt "OFF" avant de

déconnecter la batterie 09 du boîtier de commande 04.

• Débrancher le cordon d'alimentation 02 de l'outil avant

toute intervention sur celui-ci.

• Il est strictement interdit d'ouvrir le boîtier de

commande 04.

• Tenir le POWERPACK FELCO 880 hors de portée des

enfants.

• Lorsque un outil n'est pas utilisé, mettre

systématiquement l'interrupteur 07 se trouvant sous le

boîtier déporté 06 en position arrêt "OFF", afin d'éviter

les accidents corporels et la décharge profonde de la

batterie 09.

• L'utilisation d'une batterie 09 différente de celle fournie

par FELCO SA est dangereuse et interdite (risque

d'accidents corporels graves). Dans ce cas, FELCO SA

dégage son entière responsabilité.

• Ne pas utiliser le POWERPACK FELCO 880 et son

contenu pour une application autre que celle

initialement prévue (utilisation exclusive avec un outil

électroportatif FELCO; Voir tableau A en page 4).

• Ne pas utiliser le POWERPACK FELCO 880 et son

contenu qui présenteraient un aspect anormal

(déformation, odeur anormale, fumée…). Les fumées

éventuelles peuvent incommoder momentanément les

personnes ayant inhalé celles-ci.

• Ne jamais stocker une batterie 09 dont la capacité est

inférieure à 50%. La recharger avant le stockage dans

le cas où la valeur est inférieure à 50%. Pour vérifier

l'état de charge de la batterie 09, brancher la

batterie 09 au boîtier de commande 04, enclencher

l'interrupteur 07 en position "ON" et visualiser l'état de

charge sur l'afficheur 08 du boîtier déporté 06. Plus de

5 pavés éclairés indiquent que la batterie 09 a plus de

50% de niveau de charge.

• En cas de fumée suspecte mettre la batterie 09 et/ou le

chargeur 11 à l'extérieur du local de charge ou du

véhicule de transport, le plus loin possible de toute

matière combustible.

• La batterie 09 doit être protégée de tout choc et doit

être positionnée et calée pendant les phases de

transport.

• Le POWERPACK FELCO 880 ne doit pas être utilisé

par des personnes portant un stimulateur cardiaque

sans autorisation médicale.

PREMIÈRE MISE EN SERVICE

Retirez le POWERPACK FELCO 880 de la mallette 14.

ATTENTION

Lors de la première mise en service, si vous tentez de

travailler avec votre sécateur sans avoir au préalable chargé

la batterie 09, le sécateur 15 ne fonctionnera pas.

La batterie 09 ayant été mise automatiquement en mode

"stockage", la première opération à faire consiste à brancher

la batterie 09 au chargeur 11. Pour ce faire procédez de la

façon suivante (voir illustration B en page 4):

1. Connectez la batterie 09 au chargeur 11.

2. Connectez le cordon secteur 13 adapté à votre réseau

électrique au chargeur 11.

3. Connectez le chargeur 11 au réseau électrique.

4. La lampe témoin 12 sur le chargeur 11 passe au rouge.

5. Dès que la batterie 09 est chargée, la lampe témoin 12

passe au vert.

6. Déconnectez le chargeur 11 du réseau électrique.

7. Déconnectez la batterie 09 du chargeur 11.

8. Vérifiez que l'interrupteur 07 de mise en marche est en

position arrêt "OFF".

9. Branchez la fiche de la batterie 09 dans l'une des deux

prises correspondantes du boîtier de commande 04.

Remarque: Le branchement fonctionne sur les 2 prises.

10. Branchez le cordon d'alimentation du sécateur 02 au

sécateur 15. Remarque: Si vous êtes gaucher, sortez le

cordon d'alimentation du sécateur par le côté gauche du

Sac à dos 03.

UTILISATION

(Voir illustration C en page 5).

1. Préréglez la ceinture ventrale.

2. Fixez l'étui 10 sur la ceinture du côté gauche ou droit

selon que vous soyez gaucher ou droitier.

3. Mettez le sac à dos.

4. Fermez la ceinture ventrale.

5. Réglez la ceinture ventrale à hauteur de la taille.

6. Réglez les bretelles.

7. Fermez la sangle de poitrine.

8. Réglez la sangle de poitrine.

9. Prenez le sécateur 15 en main, basculez l'interrupteur 07

du boîtier déporté 06, de la position "OFF" à la position

"ON" (l'afficheur 08 du boîtier déporté 06 s'enclenche).

10. Appuyez sur la gâchette 16 une fois et la lame 17

s'ouvre. (L'ouverture et la fermeture de la lame 17 sont

proportionnelles au déplacement du doigt). Lors de

l'enclenchement de l'outil, vous entendrez des signaux

sonores. Pour en connaître la signification, veuillez vous

reporter au chapitre: "INFORMATIONS SONORES" de

ce manuel d'utilisation.

11. Pour arrêter votre sécateur 15, refermez la lame 17 à

l'aide de la gâchette 16, maintenez celle-ci fermée,

basculez l'interrupteur 07 en position arrêt "OFF"

(l'afficheur 08 du boîtier déporté 06 se déclenche). Il est

aussi possible d'arrêter temporairement le sécateur 15 à

l'aide de l'option "MODE VEILLE" voir chapitre "BOÎTIER

DÉPORTÉ".

REMARQUES

• Afin d'économiser l'énergie délivrée par la batterie 09 et

d'assurer ainsi un maximum d'autonomie au

sécateur 15, nous vous conseillons d'utiliser l'option

"demi-ouverture" qui peut être réglée à 50%, 60% ou

70%. (Référez-vous au chapitre "BOÎTIER DÉPORTÉ",

MENU RÉGLAGE DEMI-OUVERTURE). Cette option

offre un gain de temps précieux lors de la taille de petits

diamètres. (Disponible seulement avec FELCO 801 ou

FELCO 820).

• En cas de coupe trop importante, le sécateur 15 se

bloque à la fermeture. Seule l'ouverture est possible.

CONSEILS D'UTILISATION

• Vous devez prendre toutes les précautions utiles afin

d'éviter d'accrocher le cordon du sécateur 02 dans les

branches. Pour ce faire, utilisez l'option de passage du

cordon 02 par l'épaule et non pas par la taille. Si

toutefois vous désirez utiliser le cordon 02 qui passe

par la taille, sortez le, soit par le haut, soit par

l'ouverture gauche ou droite au bas du sac à dos (selon

votre préférence et selon que vous soyez droitier ou

gaucher) puis attachez le cordon d'alimentation 02 au

bras à l'aide d'un brassard (réf. 800/301 disponible en

option) ou passez-le dans votre manche.

• Par temps froid ou humide, protégez le POWERPACK

FELCO 880 en le portant sous votre imperméable.

• En cas de besoin, vous pouvez augmenter l'autonomie

de votre POWERPACK FELCO 880 (Voir illustration D

en page 5) avec une deuxième batterie. La deuxième

batterie peut être branchée en parallèle sur la

deuxième prise du boîtier de commande 04. Si par

contre vous souhaitez alléger au maximum votre sac à

dos, nous vous conseillons de remplacer la batterie 09

déchargée par la deuxième batterie 09 que vous aurez

chargée entretemps.

• La/les batteries sont déchargées lorsque l'afficheur du

boîtier déporté 08 indique:

RECHARGE DE LA BATTERIE

1. Procédez comme indiqué au chapitre: "PREMIÈRE MISE

EN SERVICE".

2. Quand la lampe témoin 12 sur le chargeur 11 passe au

rouge, la batterie 09 est en charge. La durée moyenne

de la charge est de 2 heures. La charge est finie lorsque

la lampe témoin 12 sur le chargeur 11 passe au vert. Une

deuxième vérification peut être faite en connectant la/les

batterie(s) 09 au boîtier de commande 04 et en

enclenchant le sécateur 15 avec l'interrupteur 07.

3. Une fois la charge terminée: débranchez le câble

secteur 13 du réseau électrique puis déconnecter la

batterie 09 du chargeur 11.

REMARQUES

• La batterie 09 peut rester dans le sac à dos pour sa

charge mais peut aussi être extraite et chargée à un

autre endroit.

ATTENTION

• L'utilisation d'un autre chargeur 11 que celui qui est

livré avec le matériel est interdite. Le non respect de

cette consigne conduit à une détérioration prématurée

de la batterie 09 et de surcroît à un risque d'accidents

corporels.

• Si la batterie 09 n'est pas utilisée pendant 14 jours, elle

entre automatiquement dans le mode "stockage". Sa

tension diminue automatiquement à environ 50% de la

charge complète et sa consommation interne est

réduite au strict minimum. Dans ce mode, la batterie 09

ne peut pas être utilisée telle quelle. Pour la sortir du

mode "stockage", il convient de la brancher au

chargeur 11 avant de pouvoir utiliser le POWERPACK

FELCO 880 correctement.

CHARGEUR

• Le chargeur 11 livré avec l'outil est destiné à la

recharge exclusive de la batterie 09 du POWERPACK

FELCO 880.

• Si le câble de sortie du chargeur 11 alimentant la

batterie 09 est coupé ou endommagé, le chargeur

complet 11 doit être ramené au distributeur agréé

auprès duquel l'outil a été acheté.

• Le chargeur 11 ne demande aucun entretien particulier

mais doit se trouver dans un endroit aéré, à l'abri de la

chaleur, de la poussière et de l'humidité.

• Si la lampe témoin 12 (rouge en charge / vert chargé)

ne s'allume pas lors de la charge:

1. Débranchez le câble secteur 13 du réseau électrique.

2. Vérifiez le réseau électrique en y branchant un autre

appareil.

3. Rebranchez le câble secteur 13 au réseau électrique.

Si le chargeur 11 ne fonctionne toujours pas,

ramenez l'ensemble (chargeur 11, câble secteur 13

et batterie 09) dans son emballage d'origine chez un

distributeur agréé.

CHANGEMENT DE BATTERIE

Le changement de la batterie 09 peut se faire en tout temps,

simplement en vous rendant chez votre distributeur et en

procédant à la substitution de la batterie endommagée par

une batterie neuve.

ATTENTION

Seules des batteries d'origine FELCO SA peuvent être

connectées au boîtier de commande 04. FELCO SA décline

toute responsabilité en cas de branchement d'une batterie

n'étant pas d'origine FELCO SA. Tout dommage corporel ou

matériel dus à l'utilisation d'une batterie n'étant pas d'origine

FELCO SA, est à la charge et sous la responsabilité de

l'acheteur contrevenant.

HORS PÉRIODE DE TAILLE

• Stockez LE POWERPACK FELCO 880, dans sa

mallette de transport 14 à l'abri de la chaleur, de la

poussière et de l'humidité, dans un lieu sec et tempéré

entre +10°C et +40°C. Aucun objet combustible ne doit

être placé à moins de 1.5 mètre de la batterie 09. Bien

vérifiez que l'interrupteur 07 est en position arrêt "OFF".

• Ne jamais stocker le POWERPACK FELCO 880 à une

température ambiante supérieure à +40°C.

ATTENTION

• Pour préserver la longévité de la batterie 09 et éviter sa

détérioration, il est impératif de la stocker chargée et de

refaire une charge tous les 12 mois en cas de non

utilisation.

• Ne pas manipuler l'interrupteur 07 pendant la période

de stockage.

• Il vous est conseillé, HORS SAISON, de faire effectuer

une révision de votre outil, chez un distributeur agréé.

PRISE D'ALIMENTATION USB

Le boîtier de commande 04 est équipé d'une prise

d'alimentation USB 05 (Type A IP67) qui vous permet de

recharger de petits appareils électroniques tels que

baladeurs, téléphones portables et autres accessoires

portables. Cette alimentation n'est active que lorsque

l'interrupteur 07 est en position "ON". Elle n'est en outre

pas conçue pour recharger des ordinateurs portables,

tablettes tactiles et autres équipements non stipulés ci-

dessus.

BOÎTIER DÉPORTÉ

Le boîtier déporté 06 vous permet de vérifier l'état de

charge de vos batteries 09 ainsi que de consulter des

statistiques, d'activer ou de désactiver des options de

fonctionnement ou de faire un diagnostique préliminaire en

cas de pannes ou de dérangements.

Le maniement du boîtier 06 est très simple et intuitif (Voir

illustration E en page 5):

Les commandes définies ci-dessus sont celles utilisées de

manière systématique pour tous les menus du boîtier

déporté 06.

A L'ENCLENCHEMENT

En utilisation avec un FELCO 801 ou un FELCO 820, lors de

l'enclenchement de l'outil par l'interrupteur 07 situé sous le

boîtier déporté 06, les informations suivantes sont

disponibles sur l'affichage si la valeur du nombre de coupe

avant le prochain service est égale à 0 ou plus petite que 0.

Cette valeur vous donne une indication sur le nombre de

coupes que vous pouvez encore faire avant qu'un service

soit recommandé.

Si cette valeur est positive, l'afficheur passe après quelques

secondes automatiquement au niveau de charges des

batteries.

Si cette valeur est négative, le passage au niveau de

charges des batteries doit se faire avec la commande PUSH

du boîtier déporté 06.

En utilisation avec un FELCO 800 ou un FELCO 810, lors de

l'enclenchement de l'outil, l'information relative au prochain

service n'est pas disponible, l'affichage passe

automatiquement au niveau de charges des batteries.

• Les options "Réglage demi-ouverture", "Mode veille" et

"Mode non progressif" ne sont disponibles que si le

POWERPACK FELCO 880 est utilisé avec un sécateur

FELCO 801 ou FELCO 820.

MENU "STATISTIQUES DE COUPE" (FELCO 801, 820,

800 OU 810)

PUSH 2 sec=RESET

Partie gauche # XXXXXX = Nombre de coupes faites depuis

la dernière mise à zéro du compteur.

Partie droite XXX h YY m = Temps en heures et en minutes

d'utilisation de l'outil depuis la dernière mise à zéro du

compteur.

En appuyant pendant 2 secondes sur le joystick (commande

PUSH), les 2 compteurs de cet affichage se remettent à

zéro.

MENU "TYPES DE COUPES" (FELCO 801, 820, 800 OU

810)

PUSH 2 sec=RESET

S (SMALL) = Pourcentage de petites coupe;

M (MEDIUM) = Pourcentage de coupes moyennes;

L (LARGE) = Pourcentage de grosses coupes

faites depuis la dernière remise à zéro du compteur. Les

différents niveaux de classifications de coupes ont été

déterminés sur des moyennes et ces valeurs sont à

considérer de manière indicative.

En appuyant pendant 2 secondes sur le joystick (commande

PUSH), les 3 compteurs de cet affichage se remettent à

zéro.

MENU "BLOCAGE" (FELCO 801, 820, 800 OU 810)

XX% XXL = Pourcentage de blocages de la tête de coupe

depuis la dernière remise à zéro du compteur. Permet de

savoir si les diamètres de bois taillés correspondent à la

capacité de l'outil et si l'outil est utilisé de manière adéquate.

En appuyant pendant 2 secondes sur le joystick (commande

PUSH), le compteur de cet affichage se remet à zéro.

MENU "RÉGLAGE DEMI-OUVERTURE" (FELCO 801 ET

FELCO 820 EXCLUSIVEMENT)

Le POWERPACK FELCO 880 est programmé d'usine pour

que l'option de demi-ouverture de la tête de coupe

s'enclenche en appuyant 2 fois très rapidement sur la

gâchette 16 de l'outil. Pour revenir à l'ouverture complète, il

suffira une fois encore, d'appuyer 2 fois très rapidement sur

la gâchette 16. Les 4 affichages ci-dessous permettent de

choisir le type de demi-ouverture que l'on souhaite avoir avec

son outil (50%, 60% ou 70%) ou de désactiver cette option.

programmé d'usine, pour que le mode "veille" du sécateur

FELCO 820, se fasse en appuyant rapidement 2 fois sur la

gâchette 16 de l'outil et en la maintenant jusqu'à entendre un

triple signal sonore rapide (environ après 1 seconde). Si la

gâchette 16 est relâchée à ce moment-là, la tête de coupe

reste fermée jusqu'à ce que l'utilisateur appuie à nouveau

une fois sur la gâchette 16. Cette option peut être désactivée

en appuyant sur le joystick "commande: PUSH".

REG ON = Le POWERPACK FELCO 880 est programmé

d'usine pour que l'option de fonctionnement de la lame 17

soit en mode progressif (Gâchette 16 activant

proportionnellement la lame 17). Il est toutefois possible de

travailler en mode non progressif à la manière des sécateurs

pneumatiques en désactivant cette option via le joystick

(commande PUSH).

ATTENTION

Ce mode non progressif EST ACTIF seulement si l'outil est

enclenché. Dès que l'outil est éteint, le mode revient

automatiquement en progressif.

Permet d'entrer dans le menu de diagnostique et dépannage.

On entre dans ce sous-menu en activant le joystick par la

fonction "PUSH" et on en ressort en activant le joystick avec

n’importe quelle fonction. Le diagnostique de l’outil et de

la/des batterie(s) se fait automatiquement en séquence.

Chaque diagnostique est fait en boucle jusqu’à ce que

l'utilisateur touche le joystick de n’importe quelle manière.

ATTENTION

Pour faire un diagnostique complet, un outil électroportatif

FELCO doit être branché. Le diagnostique effectué de la

sorte doit impérativement être validé par un distributeur

agréé qui bénéficie d'un accès privilégié à la plate-forme

online FELCO de diagnostique avancé.

Par ce test, on arrive à vérifier si la batterie 09 fonctionne

correctement ou pas. Si tout fonctionne correctement, le

statut sera: OK.

ATTENTION

Si une seule batterie 09 est connectée, le test de l’autre

batterie 09 aura un statut: KO.

Si une batterie 09 est en mode "stockage" et qu’elle est

branchée au boîtier de commande 04, le statut de la

batterie 09 sera: KO. Pour y remédier, référez-vous au

chapitre "PREMIÈRE MISE EN SERVICE".

Ce test permet de vérifier la puissance au niveau moteur,

connectique et cordon d'alimentation 02 (cordon

d'alimentation sectionné ou problème général de cordon

d'alimentation). Si tout fonctionne correctement, le statut

sera: POWER LINE OK.
