Cam Notebook Ultra, the latest webcam with adaptive array
microphones, has fantastic voice clarity and high quality video images for
you to video chat with your friends and loved ones.
To get the most out of your Live! Cam, also read the comprehensive User’s
Guide on your Installation CD.
Refer to the figure on the cover and match the numbers with those below to
learn more about your Live! Cam.

2 Getting Started
Getting Started
Step 1: Installing Your Live! Cam
You need to install device drivers and applications before using your
Live! Cam.
If you accidentally begin installation with your Live! Cam connected and the
Add New Hardware Wizard or Found New Hardware Wizard dialog box
appears, click the Cancel button.
1 Insert the Installation CD into your CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive.
Your CD should start automatically. If it does not, follow the steps below:
i. Double-click the My Computer icon.
Alternatively, click Start My Computer.
ii. Right-click the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive icon, and then click
Autoplay.
2 Follow the instructions on screen to install drivers and applications.
3 When prompted, connect your Live! Cam's USB cable to an available USB
port on your computer. Windows
®
automatically detects the device.
Place your Live! Cam on top or at the side of your computer’s LCD flat panel
and use the integrated PowerGrip to mount the Live! Cam (see next page).
WARNING DO NOT connect your Live! Cam to your computer before installing
the drivers.

4 To complete the installation, follow the appropriate steps below:
For Windows 2000
When a Digital Signature Not Found dialog box appears, telling you that
Live! Cam Notebook Ultra has been detected, click the Yes button.
5 Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation. You may
be asked, after the drivers have been successfully installed, if you want to
restart your computer. Select No until all the applications are installed.
6 Restart your computer after all the applications have been installed.

4 Verifying the Installation
Step 2: Verifying the Installation
1 Right-click the My Computer icon on your desktop or in the Windows Start
menu.
2 On the menu that appears, click Properties.
3 In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab.
4 Click the Device Manager button. A window appears.
5 Click the plus (+) sign next to the Imaging Device icon. The entry "Live! Cam
Notebook Ultra" appears.
6 Click the plus (+) sign next to the Sound, Video and Game controllers icon.
The entry “Live! Cam Notebook Ultra (A)” appears.
NOTES For users with USB 2.0-equipped computers only
Creative Installation automatically checks that the software
components required for optimal USB 2.0 performance are installed
on your computer, and alerts you if these components are missing. If
you receive such a message, do one of the following to ensure that
your Live! Cam always performs to its fullest potential over a USB 2.0
connection:
■ download and install the latest Windows Service Pack for your
operating system
■ if you are using Windows XP SP1, install Windows XP Hotfix
KB822603
(The latest Windows Service Packs and Windows Hotfix
KB822603 can be obtained from the Microsoft
®
Help and
Support website or via Windows Update.)
■ install the USB 2.0 driver provided by your hardware vendor
If you are using Windows 2000, the USB 2.0 connection provides USB
full-speed functionality.

Taking a Photo/Video
1 Click Start Programs or All Programs Creative Creative Live! Cam
Creative Live! Cam Center.
2 In the Creative Live! Cam Center window, click the Photo Capture/Video
Recording tab.
3 Click the Photo/Video Resolution box and select the resolution that you
want.
4 Click the Capture button to capture an image or the Record button to start
and stop a video recording.
Using Creative Live! Cam Console
With Live! Cam Console, you can adjust your Live! Cam video settings, and
enable
■ Smart Face Tracking, Advanced Video FX, Pan and Tilt, or Auto
View Rotation in Live! View
■ Noise Cancellation or Advanced Audio FX in Live! Audio
■ Parental Control.

ステップ 1:Live! Cam をインストールする
Live! Cam を使用する前に、デバイスドライバとアプリケーションをイン
ストールする必要があります。
誤って Live! Cam を接続してインストールを開始し、[ 新しいハードウェ
アの追加ウィザード ] または [ 新しいハードウェアの検出ウィザード ] ダ
イアログボックスが表示された場合は、[ キャンセル ] ボタンをクリック
します。
1 インストール CD を CD-ROM/DVD-ROM ドライブに挿入します。
CD が自動的に起動します。自動的に起動しない場合は、CD-ROM ドライ
ブの自動挿入機能を有効にする必要があります。次の手順に従って下さい。
i. [ マイコンピュータ ] アイコンをダブルクリックします。
または、[ スタート ] [ マイ コンピュータ ] をクリックします。
ii. CD-ROM/DVD-ROM ドライブのアイコンを右クリックし、表

2 画面の指示に従ってドライバとアプリケーションをインストールします。
3 指示に従って、Live! Cam の USB ケーブルをコンピュータの使用可能な

Live!Cam Notebook Ultra が検出されたことが表示されたら、[はい]

5 画面に表示される指示に従ってインストールを完了します。ドライバが正
しくインストールされると、コンピュータを再起動するかどうかを確認す
るメッセージが表示される場合があります。すべてのアプリケーションを
インストールするまでは、[いいえ] を選択します。

5 [ イメージングデバイス ] アイコンの横にあるプラス記号（+）をクリック
します。「Live! Cam Notebook Ultra」という項目が表示されます。
6 [ サウンド、ビデオ、およびゲームコントローラ ] アイコンの横にあるプ
ラス記号（+）をクリックします。「Live! Cam Notebook Ultra（A）」
という項目が表示されます。
メモ USB 2.0 搭載のコンピュータを使用している場合
Creative Installation が USB 2.0 の最適なパフォーマンスに必要な
ソフトウェアコンポーネントがコンピュータにインストールされて
いるかを自動的にチェックし、必要なコンポーネントがない場合は
メッセージを表示します。このようなメッセージが表示された場合
は、次のいずれかを実行して、Live! Cam が USB 2.0 接続を通して
常に完全な性能を発揮できるようにしてください。
■ ご使用のオペレーティングシステムに最新の Windows サービ
スパックをダウンロードおよびインストールする
■ Windows XP のサービスパック 1（SP1）を使用している場合
は、Windows XP ホットフィックス KB822603 をインストー
ルする（最新の Windows サービスパックおよび Windows ホッ
トフィックス KB822603 は、Windows Update のホームペー
ジ等より入手することができます。）
■ ハードウェアベンダーが提供する USB 2.0 ドライバをインス
トールする
Windows 2000 をご使用の場合は、USB 2.0 で接続しても USB
Hi-Speed では動作せず、Full-Speed での転送速度になります。

写真／ビデオを撮る
1 [ スタート ] [ プログラム ] または [ すべてのプログラム ] [Creative]
[Creative Live! Cam] [Creative Live! Cam Center] の順にクリック
します。
2 [Creative Live! Cam Center] ウィンドウで、[ フォトキャプチャ / ビデ
オ録画 ] タブをクリックします。
3 [ フォト／ビデオの解像度 ] ボックスをクリックし、解像度を選択します。
4 [ キャプチャ ] ボタンをクリックして画像をキャプチャするか、[録画] ボ
タンをクリックしてビデオ録画の開始と停止を行います。
Creative Live! Cam コンソールの使用
Live!Cam コンソールでは、Live!Cam ビデオの設定を変更したり、次の
機能を有効にしたりすることができます。
■ Live!View でのスマートフェイストラッキングや、アドバンスド
ビデオエフェクト、パン／チルト、自動表示回転
■ Live!Audio でのノイズキャンセレーションやアドバンスドオー
ディオエフェクト
■ ペアレンタルコントロール
1 Live! Cam コンソールを起動するには、[スタート] -> [プログラム] また
は [ すべてのプログラム ] [Creative] [Creative Live! Cam
Notebook Ultra] [Creative Live! Cam コンソール ] の順にクリックし
ます。
2 目的のセクションが表示さない場合は、[ パネルの表示 / 非表示 ] ボタン
