Outer soft goods include Seat Pad, Crotch Pad, Head Support and Infant

Insert. Please make sure there are no missing parts. Please contact the

safety child restraint. This product is suitable for the use

of children weighing UNDER 36kg (approximately 12

years old or under).

Carefully read this Instruction Manual and follow the

installing steps because this is the ONLY way to protect

your child from serious injury or death in case of an

accident﹐ and to provide comfort to your child while

using this product.

Keep this instruction manual for future reference.

Make sure that your vehicle is equipped with 3-point

retractor safety-belt.

Seat belts may be different in design and length

according to maker﹐ manufacturing date﹐ and type of the

vehicle. This child restraint is only suitable for use in the

listed vehicles fitted with 3-point retractor safety-belts﹐

approved to UN Regulation No. 16 or other equivalent

standards. This child restraint is approved to

UN Regulation No. 44﹐ 04 series of amendments.

This child restraint is not suitable for use in the vehicles

fitted with Lap Belts.

! NO child restraint can guarantee full protection from injury in an

accident. However﹐ proper use of this child restraint will reduce the

risk of serious injury or death to your child.

! This child restraint is designed ONLY for child weighing under 36kg

(approximately 12 years old or under).

DO NOT use forward facing mode before the child’s weight exceeds 15kg.

! Any straps of child restraint and vehicle seat should be tightened and

not twisted.

DO NOT use or install this child restraint until you read and understand

the instructions in this manual and in your vehicle owner's manual.

! DO NOT install or use this child restraint without following the

instructions and warnings in this manual or you may put your child in

serious risk of injury or death.

! DO NOT make any modification to this child restraint or use it along

with component parts from other manufacturers.

! DO NOT use this child restraint if it has damaged or missing parts.

! DO NOT have your child in unfitted clothes when use this child

restraint in rearward facing mode﹐ because this may prevent your child

from being properly and securely fastened by the shoulder harnesses

and the harnesses between thighs.

! When use this child restraint in rearward facing mode﹐ the safety belt must

be used correctly﹐ and ensure that any lap strap is worn low down﹐ so that

the pelvis is firmly engaged.

! DO NOT leave this child restraint unbelted or unsecured in your

vehicle because unsecured child restraint can be thrown around and

may injure occupants in a sharp turn﹐ sudden stop﹐ or collision.

Remove it if not in regular use.

! NEVER leave your child unattended with this child restraint at all

times.

! Don’t use it on front seat with active airbag when installed in

rearfacing mode.

! NEVER use a second-hand child restraint or a child restraint whose

history you do not know because they may have structural damage

that endangers your child's safety.

! Please keep this child restraint away from sunlight﹐ otherwise it may

be too hot for the child's skin.

! NEVER use ropes or any other substitutes in place of seat belts in

case of injuries from restraint.

! DO NOT use this child restraint as a regular chair as it tends to fall

down and injure the child.

! DO NOT use this child restraint without the soft goods.

! The soft goods should not be replaced with any besides the ones

recommended by the manufacturer﹐ because the soft goods

constitute an integral part of the child restraint performance.

! DO NOT put anything other than the recommended inner cushions in

this child restraint.

! DO NOT carry this child restraint with a child in it.

! DO NOT put unsecured items in the vehicle because they can be

thrown around and may injure occupants in a sharp turn﹐ sudden

stop﹐ or collision.

! Do not allow the child restraint harness or buckles to become trapped

or caught in the vehicle seat or door.

! DO NOT continue to use this child restraint after it has suffered any

violent crash. Replace immediately as there might be invisible

structural damage from the crash.

! Remove this child restraint from the vehicle seat when it is not in use

for a long period of time.

! To avoid suffocation﹐ remove plastic bag and packaging materials

before using this product. The plastic bag and packaging materials

should then be kept away from babies and children.

! Consult the distributor for issues concerning maintenance﹐ repair

and part replacement.

! DO NOT use any load bearing contact points other than those

described in the instructions and marked in the child restraint.

! DO NOT install this child restraint under the following conditions:

1. Vehicle seats with 2-point safety belts.

2. Vehicle seats facing sideward or rearward with respect to the

running direction of the vehicle.

3. Vehicle seats unstable during installation.

! Please do not use this child restraint if the child restraint has dropped

from a significant height﹐ hit the ground at a considerable speed﹐ or

has visible signs of damage. We are not responsible to replace if the

child restraint has been damaged under these abnormal conditions.

A new child restraint will need to be purchased when any of the

aforementioned conditions occurs.

Choose the Installation Mode

Emergency

In case of emergency or accidents﹐ it is most important to have your child

taken care of with first aids and medical treatment immediately.

Product Information

This child restraint can be installed using a 3 point retractable adult seat

belt approved to UN/Regulation No. 16 or similar standard.

For installation with 3-point-belt

1. This is a ‘Universal’ child restraint. It is approved to UN Regulation No.

44, 04 series of amendments, for general use in vehicles and it will fit most,

but not all, car seats.

2. A correct fit is likely if the vehicle manufacturer has declared in the vehicle

handbook that the vehicle is capable of accepting a ‘Universal’ child

restraint for this age group.

3. This child restraint has been classified as ‘Universal’ under more stringent

conditions than those which applied to earlier designs which do not carry

this notice.

4. If in doubt, please consult the child restraint distributor.

For installation with 3-point-belt and ISOSAFE attachment

1. This child restraint is classified for “Semi-Universal” use and is suitable

for fixing into the seat positions of the following cars.

2. Seat positions in other cars may also be suitable to accept the child

restraint. If in doubt, consult either the child restraint manufacturer or

the retailer.

3. Please refer to our vehicle fitting list (on-product as well as online at our

website).

Height Adjustment

for Head Support and Shoulder Harnesses

Please adjust the head support and shoulder harnesses to proper height

according to the child's height.

! When used in rearward facing mode, the shoulder harness slots must be

even with or just below the child’s shoulders. 9 -1

! When used in forward facing mode, the shoulder belt guides must be even

with or just above the child’s shoulders. 9 -2

If the shoulder harnesses are not at proper height, the child may be thrown

from the child restraint when there is an accident.

Squeeze the head support adjustment lever, meanwhile pull up or push down

the head support until it snaps into one of the 10 positions.

The head support positions are shown as 10

! Side wings open automatically while the headrest height is adjusted from

the 6th to 10th position.

2. Pass the vehicle shoulder belt through the two rear-facing vehicle belt slots

at the back of the car seat. 13

! Open the belt lock off and insert the shoulder belt through it. 14

! Ensure the belt lock off cover is completely closed when not in use to

prevent injury, or damage to vehicle upholstery.

3. Press the child restraint down firmly

and pull the vehicle shoulder belt to

fasten the child restraint securely. 15

! Ensure to close the lock-off after you

are done checking the child restraint

is securely fastened. 15 -1

! Keep your fingers off when closing

the lock-off clips to avoid injury.

! The child restraint can not be used if

the vehicle safety belt buckle (female

buckle end) is too long to anchor the

child restraint securely.

! Double check that the child restraint

is securely installed and does not

move on the vehicle seat.

Rearward Facing Mode

(for Child under 18kg /Newborn–4 years old)

! Please install the child restraint on the rear vehicle seat, and then put the

child in the child restraint.

i. Installation for Rearward Facing Mode

! Please adjust the child restraint to the desired recline position (2 positions

for rearward facing mode). Align the top reclining indicator with one of the

bottom blue triangles.

! Make sure the shoulder harness is adjusted to proper height before

installing this child restraint.

! When installing and adjusting the safety belts, make sure that both the

shoulder belt and the waist belt are not twisted and will not stop the safety

belts from functioning properly.

1.Pass the vehicle waist belt through the vehicle waist belt slots, then

engage the vehicle buckle tongue into the buckle. 11 12

ii. Securing your Child in the Child Restraint

Use Infant Insert

We recommend using the full

infant insert while the baby

is 0-9 months or until they

outgrow the insert. The infant

insert increases side impact

protection.

Detach the snaps on

the head support to

you to adjust it to the proper length

and make sure your child is snugly

! After the child is seated, recheck

whether the shoulder harnesses are

at the proper height.

! Always keep child secured in

harness and properly tightened by

removing any slack.

Forward Facing Mode

( for Child 15–36kg /3–12 years old)

i. Installation for Forward Facing Mode

! When using in the forward facing mode, please remove the infant insert,

and place the shoulder harness straps, buckle and buckle tongues in the

harness hideaway storage compartments.

! Please adjust the shoulder harnesses to proper length before storing the

shoulder straps and buckle in their storage compartments.

! Please adjust the child restraint to the desired recline position. (4 positions

for forward facing mode). Align the top reclining indicator with one of the

bottom red triangles.

! While using and adjusting the vehicle seat belt, check that there are no

twists in the vehicle seat belt that could cause your child incorrectly

fastened.

not use the infant insert.

4. Lift the upper flap upward and pull the lower flap forward, and then store the

5. Pull the buckle to the back of the seat pad, and then store the buckle and

connectors are securely

attached to their ISOFIX

1. Please check whether the vehicle

shoulder belt guides are at proper

height when the child is in the child

restraint.

2. Position the shoulder belt through

the shoulder belt guide and pass

the waist belt through the vehicle

waist belt slots. Engage the vehicle

buckle and pull the vehicle belt to

make sure it is tightened. 33

Removing and storing ISOSAFE

1. To remove from the vehicle, press

the ISOSAFE adjustment button

Maintenance

! Please store it somewhere that the child can not access it.

! Please wash the soft goods with cold water under 30°C.

! Do not iron the soft goods.

! Do not bleach or dry clean the soft goods.

! Do not use undiluted neutral detergent, gasoline or other organic solvent to

wash the child restraint. It may cause damage to the child restraint.

! Do not twist the soft goods to dry with great force. It may leave the soft

goods with wrinkles.

! Please hang dry the soft goods in the shade.

! Please remove the child restraint from the vehicle seat if not in use for a

long period of time. Put the child restraint in the shade and somewhere your

child can not access it.

! Entfernen Sie dieses Kinderrückhaltesystem vom Fahrzeugsitze﹐

wenn es längere Zeit nicht verwendet wird.

! Entfernen Sie zur Vermeidung von Erstickungsgefahr UNBEDINGT

! Installieren Sie dieses Kinderrückhaltesystem NICHT unter folgenden

Umständen:

1. Fahrzeugsitze mit Zweipunktgurt (Beckengurt).

2. In Bezug auf die Fahrtrichtung des Fahrzeugs zur Seite oder nach

hinten gewandte Sitze.

3. Fahrzeugsitze﹐ die sich während der Installation bewegen.

! Sollte Ihr Kindersitz Schäden aufgrund von Eigenverschulden (z.B.

Bodenaufprall aus großer Höhe und/oder mit hoher Geschwindigkeit﹐

etc.) aufweisen﹐ empfehlen wir Ihnen das Produkt nicht weiter zu

verwenden und im Sinne der Sicherheit durch ein Neues zu ersetzen.

Es können Defekte in der Materialstruktur - beispielsweise feinste

Haarrisse - entstehen﹐ die mit freien Auge nicht sichtbar sind und

dennoch die Schutzwirkung des Kindersitzes im Falle eines Unfalls

signifikant beeinträchtigen. Bei unsachgemäßer Produktnutzung

(siehe zuvor genannte Szenarien) sind wir als Hersteller nicht

verpflichtet﹐ das beschädigte Produkt kostenlos zu ersetzen.

Notfall

Bei einem Notfall oder Unfall ist es besonders wichtig﹐ dass bei Ihrem

Kind umgehend Erste Hilfe geleistet und es medizinisch versorgt werden.

Produktinformationen

Das Kinderrückhaltesystem kann mit einem Fahrzeug-Dreipunktgurt, der

gemäß UN Regulation No. 16 oder vergleichbaren Standards zugelassen

wurde, installiert werden.

Installation mittels 3-Punkt-Gurt

1. Dieser Kindersitz ist ein „Universales“ Kinderückhaltesystem. Er ist

gemäß UN Regulation No. 44, 04 für die allgemeine Verwendung in

Fahrzeugen zugelassen und passt zu den meisten, jedoch nicht allen

Fahrzeugsitzen.

2. Wahrscheinlich passt er in Ihr Fahrzeug, sofern der entsprechend

Fahrzeugsitz laut Herstellerangabe im Fahrzeughandbuch für ein

„Universales“ Kinderrückhaltesystem dieser Altersgruppe freigegeben

ist.

3. Dieses Kinderrückhaltesystem wurde unter strengeren Bedingungen

als „Universal“ eingestuft als frühere Modelle ohne diesen Hinweis, für

die noch weniger strikte Bedingungen galten.

4. Bei Rückfragen kontaktieren Sie bitte Ihren Fachhändler.

Installation mittels Isosafe-System und 3-Punkt-Gurt

1. Dieser Kindersitz ist ein „semi-universales“ Kinderrückhaltesystem. Er

ist gemäß UN Regulation No. 44, 04 für die allgemeine Verwendung in

Fahrzeugen mit Isofix-Verankerungssystemen zugelassen.

2. Bitte beachten Sie die Fahrzeugtypenliste (dem Produkt beiliegend

sowie auf unserer Homepage de.joiebaby.com).

3. Es ist möglich, dass nicht alle Fahrzeugmodelle in der Liste erfasst

sind. Das Kinderrückhaltesystem kann dennoch zur Verwendung

geeignet sein. In diesem Fall (und bei sonstigen Unklarheiten), wenden

Sie sich bitte an Ihren Fachhändler oder den Hersteller.

Aktivierung des Seitenaufprallschutzes

! Zum besseren Schutz muss der

Seitenaufprallschutz ausgeklappt

werden.

! Nach erstmaligem Öffnen wird der

Seitenaufprallschutz in dauerhaft

geöffneter Position verriegelt﹐ um

maximalen Schutz zu gewährleisten.

Sitzeinstellung (Neigung)

Betätigen Sie den Griff 7 -1, und

schieben Sie den Kindersitz nach

vorne oder hinten 7 -2, um den

Neigungswinkel des Kindersitzes

Im rückwärts gerichteten Modus

können Sie zwischen den Stufen 5

und 6 wählen, die als blaue Dreiecke

markiert sind.

Im vorwärts gerichteten Modus

können Sie zwischen den Stufen 1

bis 4 wählen, die als rote Dreiecke

markiert sind. Stufe 1 stellt dabei die

steilste Sitzposition dar.

Der obere Pfeil zeigt Ihnen die derzeit

gewählte Sitzposition an.

Anpassung Kopfstützenhöhe

siehe Abbildungen 9 - 10

Bitte passen Sie die Kopfstütze auf die angemessene Höhe für Ihr Kind an.

Das Gurtsystem passt sich dabei simultan mit an.

! Im rückwärts gerichteten Modus, sollten die Schultergurte des internen

3-Punkt Gurtsystems auf Höhe oder unterhalb der Schultern des Kindes

verlaufen. 9 -1

! Im vorwärts gerichteten Modus, sollten sich die Schultergurtführungen für

den Fahrzeuggurt auf Höhe oder oberhalb der Schultern Ihres Kindes

befinden. 9 -2

Wenn die Kopfstütze/Schultergurte nicht auf die angemessene Höhe

eingestellt werden, kann der Kindersitz im Falle eines Unfalls Ihr Kind ggf.

Um die Kopfstütze anzupassen, betätigen Sie den Schalter auf der Oberseite der

Kopfstütze und schieben Sie die Kopfstütze nach stet.

! Die Seitenflügel wachsen automatisch mit, wenn die Kopfstütze auf eine der

vier höchsten Positionen eingestellt wird.

Rückwärts gerichteter Modus

! Bitte installieren Sie das Kinderrückhaltesystem zuerst auf einem der

Rücksitze, und setzen Sie anschließend Ihr Kind rein.

i. Sitzinstallation mittels Fahrzeuggurt

! Bitte stellen Sie den Kindersitz auf die gewünschte Neigungsposition ein

(Positionen 5-6 im rückwärts gerichteten Modus).

! Stellen Sie sicher, dass sich die Kopfstütze und die Schultergurte auf der

angemessenen Höhe befinden.

! Achten Sie während der Installation darauf, dass die Schulter-/Beckengurte

des Fahrzeuggurtes nicht verdreht sind, um eine sichere Funktion zu

gewährleisten.

1. Führen Sie den Beckengurtteil des Fahrzeuggurtes (dunkelgrau) durch die

Beckengurtöffnung 11 und führen Sie die Gurtschnalle anschließend in das

Gurtschloss ein 12. Überprüfen Sie, ob Sie fest eingerastet ist.

! Der Fahrzeugbeckengurt muss unter der Kleinkindeinlage hindurchgeführt

werden.

2. Führen Sie den Schultergurt des Fahrzeuggurtes (hellgrau) diagonal durch

die beiden Schultergurtführungen auf der Rückseite des Kindersitzes. 13

! Öffnen Sie dafür die Gurtarretierung,und führen Sie den Schultergurt durch.

3. Drücken Sie den Kindersitz fest in

das Sitzpolster des Fahrzeugs 15 -1

und ziehen währenddessen am

Schultergurt 15 -2, um unerwünschte

Gurtlose zu entfernen und den Sitz

sicher zu installieren. 15

! Abschließend klappen Sie die beiden

Verschlussteile der Gurtarretierung

zusammen, bis sie fest verschlossen

sind. Überprüfen Sie, ob der

Fahrzeuggurt fest fixiert ist.

! Achten Sie beim Schließen des

Verschlusses besonders darauf, dass

Sie nicht versehentlich Ihre Finger

einklemmen.

! Der Kindersitz kann nicht verwendet

werden, wenn die Gurtschnalle des

Fahrzeugs zu lang ist, um den

Kindersitz fest und sicher installieren

zu können.

! Prüfen Sie abschließend, ob der Sitz

fest installiert ist, und sich nicht

entlang des Fahrzeugsitzes nach

vorne verschieben lässt.
