4.1 Cleaning
1. Turn the appliance off and dis-
connect it from wall socket.
2. Let the appliance cool down
completely.
3. Open swivel filter holder (4), re-
move the permanent filter (12)
and dispose the used coffee
content.
4. Use a damp soft cloth and a litt-
le mild cleanser to clean the ex-
terior of the appliance.

or any other liquid.
5. The permanent filter (12) and
thermal jug (9) can be cleaned
in dishwasher or under running
water.

Before using the ap-
pliance after clean-
ing, dry all parts
carefully using a soft
towel.
4.2 Descaling
Descaling extends the life of your
appliance. Descale your coffee
machine at least 4 times per year.
Period depends on the water hard-
ness of your area. The harder the
water is, the more often the appli-
ance has to be descaled.
1. Purchase a suitable desca-
ling solution or citric acid from
a specialty store. Please ask for
device.
2. Prior to beginning the descaling
process read the manufacturers
package insert for the decaling
solution thoroughly. Should the
manufacturer’s instructions dif-
fer from the ones listed below,
then follow the manufacturer’s
instructions.
