• This appliance complies with the

filter basket during operation,

to cool for 10 minutes, then open

the filter cover and check it.

3 Operation

3.1 Preparation

WARNING:

First time use: Run

the appliance at least 4 times

without adding coffee.

WARNING:

Please follow the

steps 1 - 2 and 7 - 12 in the “Brewing

Coffee” section.

1. Remove all packaging and stickers and

dispose of them according to applicable legal

regulations.

2. Before using the appliance for the first time,

clean all parts which come into contact with

water carefully. Please see full details in the

“Cleaning and Care” section.

3. Make sure that the appliance is placed in an

upright position and on a stable, flat, clean, dry,

and non-slip surface.

3.2 Brewing Coffee

1. Pull off and fill the glass jug (6) with the required

amount of water, but do not fill past the “10”

mark. The brewed amount of coffee will be 10%

less than the filled water, because it is absorbed

by the coffee grounds and the filter.

For the good coffee taste it is

suggested to operate the appliance

with at least 4 cups coffee serving.

For improved heat retention we

recommend that you rinse the pot

with hot water before starting the

brewing process.

Use only clean, cold, and fresh

drinking water.

There is a drip hole on the back

of the water reservoir to prevent

exceeding the capacity of the coffee

maker. If you add too much water,

it will drip out from the back of the

appliance.

2. Open the filter basket cover (1).

3. Pull out the filter basket (2).

4. Pour the water in the glass jug into the water

reservoir.

5. Fill the filter basket (2) with the desired amount

of ground coffee. To do this, you may use the

supplied measuring spoon.

6. Insert the filter basket (2) back into the housing

and close the filter basket cover (1).

7. Place the glass jug (6) on the warming plate (8).

WARNING:

If the glass jug (6)

is not placed accurately, the drip-

stop (5) function will not function

properly. It could cause hot water or

hot coffee to overflow.

8. Connect the plug to the wall socket.

9. Turn the appliance on by pushing the On/Off

button (7).

– The On/Off button (7) illuminates and the

brewing process begins.

The brewing process can be stopped

at any time by pushing the On/Off

button (7) again.

The appliance is equipped with a

drip-stop (5) located underneath

the filter basket (2) and enables

you to briefly remove the glass jug

(6) to pour coffee before the water

has fi-nished running through the

machine.

WARNING:

Make sure to place

the glass jug (6) on the warming

plate (8) quickly (max. 30 seconds).

Otherwise the brewed coffee from

the filter could overflow. If you want

to use the glass jug for more than 30

seconds switch off the appliance.

WARNING:

Never pull out the

filter basket (2) during the brewing

process even if no water is draining.

Extremely hot water or coffee can

spill out from the filter basket and

cause injury.

WARNING:

If water/coffee is

not draining from the filter basket

(2)after several seconds with the

glass jug (6) properly in place (8)

immediately unplug the appliance

and wait 10 minutes before opening

and checking the filter basket (2).

WARNING:

When the brewing

process ends and the water level

indicator (3) with “10” marking is

empty, there will still be hot liquid

in the filter basket (2). Wait a few

minutes for the rest of the liquid to

drip into the glass jug (6).

10. Remove the glass jug (6) from the

warmng plate (8) as soon as the brewng

process has fnshed and the glass

jug (6) s flled. The coffee s ready.

11. To turn the applance off, push the On/Off

button (7).

12. Dsconnect the applance from the wall socket.

If you want to continue the brewing

process, repeat the procedure from

1 to 12. Let the appliance cool down

at least 15 minutes between each

brewing process.

Hints and Tips

• Use softened or filtered water to prevent lime

build-up.

• Store unused coffee in a cool, dry place. After

opening a package of coffee reseal it tightly to

maintain its freshness.

• Do not reuse the coffee sediment in the filter

since this will reduce the flavour.

• Reheating coffee is not recommended as coffee

is at its peak flavour immediately after brewing.

4 Informaton

4.1 Cleaning and care

WARNING:

Never use petrol

solvents, abrasive cleaners, metal

objects or hard brushes to clean the

appliance.

WARNING:

Never put the

appliance or power cord in water or

any other liquid.

1. Turn the appliance off and disconnect it from

the wall socket.

2. Allow the appliance to cool down.

3. Remove the glass jug (6).

4. Open the filter basket cover (1).

5. Pull out the filter basket (3) and dispose the

coffee sediment.

6. Clean the filter basket (3) by placing under

running water and using a small amount of mild

cleanser. The filter basket (3) can be cleaned

in the upper shelf of the dishwasher or under

running water.

7. Use a damp soft cloth and some mild cleanser to

clean the exterior of the appliance.

8. Insert the filter basket (3) back into the housing

and close the filter basket cover (1).

9. Place the glass jug (6) onto warming plate (8).

Before using the appliance after

cleaning, dry all parts carefully with

a soft cloth or paper towel.

4.2 Descaling the appliance

Descaling extends the life of your appliance.

Descale your coffee maker at least 4 times per

year. The period depends on the water hardness

in your area. The harder the water is, the more

often the appliance has to be descaled.

1. Purchase a suitable descaler from a speciality

store. Please ask naming the device.

2. Prior to commencing the descaling process

thoroughly read the manufacturer›s

package insert of the descaler. Should the

manufacturer›s instructions differ from

the ones listed below, then follow the

manufacturer›s instructions.

You can also use white vinegar and

lemon acid instead of a commercially

available descaler.

3. Fill the water tank to the «12» mark and add

descaler. Mixing ratio: 4 parts water to 1 part

descaler.

4. Turn the appliance on and allow approximately

one large coffee cup to run through the

appliance.

5. Turn the appliance off.

6. Let the mixture soak for about 15 minutes.

7. Repeat steps 4 - 6.

8. Now turn the appliance on and let the entire

mixture run through.

9. Fill the water tank with cold, fresh drinking

water and run all the water through.

10. Repeat step 9 four tmes.

11. Now you may brew coffee agan.

4.3 Storage

• If you do not plan to use the appliance for a long

period of time, please store it carefully. Make

sure the appliance is unplugged and completely

dry.

• Store the appliance in a cool, dry place. Make

sure the appliance is kept out of the reach of

children.

4.4 Handling and

transportation

• During handling and transportation, carry

the appliance in its original packaging. The

packaging of the appliance protects it against

physical damages.

• Do not place heavy loads on the appliance or the

packaging. The appliance may be damaged.

• Dropping the appliance will render it non-

operational or cause permanent damage.

3.1 Vorbereitung

WARNUNG:

Erste

Inbetriebnahme: Mindestens

viermal reines Wasser durchlaufen

lassen, keinen Kaffee hinzugeben.

WARNUNG:

Die Schritte 1 – 2

und 7 – 12 im Abschnitt „Kaffee

zubereiten“ ausführen.

1. Sämtliches Verpackungsmaterial und alle

Aufkleber entfernen, Verpackung und

Aufkleber ordnungsgemäß entsorgen.

2. Vor dem Gebrauch sorgfältig alle Teile, die mit

Wasser n Kontakt kommen, rengen Sämtlche

Enzelheten fnden Se m Abschntt „Rengung

und Pflege“.

3. Darauf achten, dass das Gerät aufrecht auf

ener stabilen, ebenen, sauberen, trockenen

und rutschfesten Oberfläche steht.

3.2 Kaffee zubereiten

1. Glaskanne (6) entnehmen und mit der

gewünschten Menge Wasser füllen, jedoch

nicht über die „10“-Markierung hinaus. Etwa

10 % des Wassers geht beim Brühen verloren,

da es durch das Kaffeemehl und den Filter

absorbiert wird.

Damit der Kaffee sein Aroma voll

entfalten kann, empfehlen wir,

immer mindestens vier Tassen

zuzubereiten.

Für ein besseres Warmhalte-

Ergebnis emp-fehlen wir die Kanne

vor dem Brühvorgang mit heißem

Wasser ausspülen.

Nur sauberes, kaltes und frisches

Trinkwasser verwenden.

An der Rückseite des

Wasserbehälters befindet sich ein

Sicherheitsablauf, damit das Gerät

nicht überfüllt werden kann. Falls

zu viel Wasser eingefüllt wird, läuft

dieses an der Rückseite des Gerätes

heraus.

2. Filterkorbdeckel (1) öffnen.

3. Wasser aus der Glasskanne in den Tank füllen

4. Flterkorb (2) herauszehen.

5. Flter mt der gewünschten Menge gemahlenen

Kaffees füllen. Dazu lässt sch der mtgeleferte

Messlöffel verwenden.

6. Flterkorb (2) weder n das Gehäuse ensetzen

und Flterkorbdeckel (1) schleßen.

7. Glaskanne (6) n de Hezplatte (8) ensetzen.

WARNUNG:

Falls die

Glaskanne (6) nicht richtig auf der

Warmhalteplatte steht, funktioniert

der Tropfstopp nicht ordentlich. In

diesem Fall können heißes Wasser

oder heißer Kaffee überlaufen.

8. Netzstecker n de Steckdose stecken.

9. Gerät mt der En-/Austaste (7) enschalten.

– Der Ein-/Austaste (7) leuchtet auf und der

Brühvorgang beginnt.

Das Brühen kann jederzeit durch

erneutes Drücken der Ein-/Austaste

(7) gestoppt werden.

Das Gerät ist mit einem Tropfstopp

(5) ausgestattet, der unter dem

Filterkorb (2) angebracht ist und es

ermöglicht, kurzzeitig die Glaskanne

(6) zu entnehmen, um Kaffee

einzuschenken, bevor das Wasser

vollständig durch die Maschine

gelaufen ist.

WARNUNG:

Die Glaskanne

(6) möglichst schnell (innerhalb

30 Sekunden) wieder auf die

Heizplatte (8) stellen. Andernfalls

kann sich der Filter überfüllen

und der Kaffee überlaufen. Gerät

ausschalten, falls die Glaskanne

nicht innerhalb 30 Sekunden

wieder auf die Warmhalteplatte

gestellt wird.

WARNUNG:

Filterkorb (2)

während der Kaffeezubereitung

niemals öffnen; auch dann nicht,

wenn kein Wasser mehr aus dem

Filter austritt. Extrem heißes Wasser

oder heißer Kaffee können aus dem

Filterkorb laufen und Verbrühungen

verursachen.

WARNUNG:

Falls nach einigen

Sekunden weder Wasser noch

Kaffee aus dem Filterkorb (2) laufen

sollten, obwohl die Glaskanne

(6) richtig platziert wurde (8),

sofort Netzstecker ziehen und

10 Minuten abwarten, dann den

Filterkorb (2) öffnen und überprüfen.

WARNUNG:

Auch nach abge-

schlossener Kaffeezubereitung und

geleertem Wassertank (4) befindet

sich nach wie vor heiße Flüssigkeit

im Filterkorb (2). Einige Minuten

10. Glaskanne (6) möglchst glech nach dem

Brühen von der Hezplatte (8) nehmen. Der

Kaffee st fertg.

Nach Abschluss des Brühvorgangs

kann das Gerät eingeschaltet

bleiben. Das Gerät ist mit einer

Warmhaltefunktion ausgestattet.

Dadurch wird der Kaffee, sofern das

Gerät nicht ausgeschaltet wurde,

nach dem Brühen 30 Minuten

warmgehalten.

11. Zum Abschalten de En-/Austaste (7) drücken.

12. Netzstecker aus der Steckdose zehen.

Wenn der Brühvorgang fortgesetzt

werden soll, die Schritte 1 bis 12

wiederholen. Das Gerät zwischen

jedem Brühvorgang mindestens 15

Minuten abkühlen lassen.

Tipps und Tricks

• Zur Verhnderung der Kalkbldung, weches

oder gefltertes Wasser verwenden.

• Ncht verbrauchtes Kaffeepulver kühl und

trocken lagern. Kaffeeverpackung nach

Gebrauch weder luftdcht verschleßen, damt

der Kaffee frsch blebt.

• Kaffeesatz m Flter ncht erneut verwenden, da

des den Kaffeegeschmack reduzert.

• Kaffee sollte möglchst ncht weder

aufgewärmt werden, da er nur gleich nach dem

Brühen seinen vollen Geschmack entfaltet.

• Nach Abschluss des Brühvorgangs kann das

Gerät engeschaltet bleben.

• Das Gerät st mt ener Warmhaltefunkton

ausgestattet.

• Dadurch wrd der Kaffee, sofern das Gerät ncht
