Intended use - The Philips Avent Nipple Shield is intended to
cover and protect the nipples of lactating women to support
breastfeeding. The device is intended for a single user.
Indications for use - The Philips Avent Nipple Shield is
indicated for use when the mother has sore, sensitive,
cracked nipples or suers from nipple pain. It is also indicated
to help the baby develop better latch-on behavior in case
of oral anomalies or when the mother has at/inverted
nipples. Moreover, it can be used to alleviate milk supply
diculties when the baby is not transferring the milk well, has
an uncommon sucking technique (i.e. weak sucking, small/
preterm babies) or to help the baby in coping with milk ow.
Contraindications - There are no contraindications.
Side eects - When using the device, undesirable
side eects that may occur are mastitis, cessation of
breastfeeding, infant thrush and poor infant weight gain.

Important safety information
Read this important information carefully before you use the
product and save it for future reference.
Warning to avoid choking and swallowing
- Never leave the nipple shield and the hygiene case
unattended and keep out of reach of children.
- Inspect before each use. Throw away at the rst signs of
damage or weakness or after 2 months of usage.
Warning to avoid contamination and to ensure hygiene
- Follow the instructions described in the Cleaning and
Disinfection sections.
Recommendations
- Use the product only in case of breastfeeding problems
as described in the Indications For Use.
- Recommended to be used with advice from health care
professional. If problems or pain occur, consult your
lactation consultant or physician.

Before usage
Step 1 - Cleaning
Warning
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive chemicals
or substances when you clean the nipple shield. Clean
the nipple shield and hygiene case before rst use and
immediately after each use.
Manual cleaning
1 Rinse with drinking-quality water for 10-15 seconds.
2 Wash in warm, drinking-quality water (approx. 35 °C) with
washing-up liquid, preferably without articial fragrances
or coloring.
3 Rinse with drinking-quality water for 10-15 seconds.
4 Dry with a clean cloth or leave to dry on a clean surface.
Dishwasher cleaning
1 Place on top rack of the dishwasher.
2 Run standard program with common household
dishwasher detergent.
3 If not fully dry after dishwasher program, dry with a clean
cloth or leave to dry on a clean surface.
Step 2 - Disinfection
Warning
Disinfect before rst use and at least once a day.
Clean before disinfection.
Be careful: After disinfection, the nipple shields may be very
hot. The hygiene case and the water remaining in the case
may still be hot. To prevent burns, only use after cooling
down for 5 minutes.
Warnings to avoid contamination and to ensure hygiene
If you use the hygiene case for disinfection:
- Clean the case before rst use.
- Use the correct water level, microwave power and time.
Not doing so can lead to reduced disinfection and can
damage the case or nipple shields.
- Only use the case provided.
Boiling
1 Clean as described under ‘Cleaning’.
2 Boil the nipple shields in drinking-quality water for
5 minutes.
3 Leave to dry on a clean surface.
Microwave - Alternatively, use only the hygiene case
provided according to the instructions below.
1 Clean the hygiene case (as described under ‘Cleaning’).
2 Add 25 ml of drinking-quality water to the case, up to the
indicated line (Fig. 1).
3 Place the nipple shield(s) in the hygiene case and securely
close the lid (Fig. 2).
4 Place the lled hygiene case in the microwave for
3 minutes at 750-1000 W (Fig. 3).
5 Let the hygiene case cool down for 5 minutes (Fig.4).
6 Drain water from the hygiene case (Fig.5).
7 Dry the nipple shield(s) with a clean cloth or leave to dry
on a clean surface.
Usage
Warning
Wash your hands and breasts thoroughly with soap and
water before you touch the nipple shields to prevent
contamination.
Applying the product - Follow the instructions below when
placing the device on your breast:
1 Remove the cleaned and disinfected nipple shield from
the hygiene case.
2 Place drinking-quality water or breast milk on the
skin-facing side of the brim to help the shield stick
to your skin (Fig. 6).
3 Hold the shield at the base of the nipple area and press
the nipple cavity partially inside out, so that it becomes
half way inverted (Fig. 7).
4 Rotate the shield so that the baby can have nose and
chin contact with your breast skin (Fig. 8).
5 Center the shield over your nipple and slightly stretch the
wings of the shield as you stick the product onto your
breast (Fig. 9).
6 With the shield applied, you can now breastfeed as
normal.
Storing - Store the clean nipple shield(s) in the hygiene case
or in a dry, clean container. Storing the nipple shield(s) in an
unclean or wet container could cause contamination.
Disposal - According to local regulations.

Uso destinado - O protetor de mamilos Philips AVENT foi
desenvolvido para cobrir e proteger os mamilos de mulheres
lactantes para ajudar na amamentação. O aparelho é

Indicações de uso - O protetor de mamilos Philips AVENT
é indicado para uso de mães com os mamilos doloridos,
sensíveis, rachados ou que sofrem de dor por conta da
amamentação. Também é indicado para ajudar o bebê
a desenvolver um melhor comportamento de pega em

Antes do uso
Etapa 1 - Limpeza
Aviso

Limpeza manual
1 Enxágue com água de qualidade potável por
10-15 segundos.
2 Lave com água morna, de qualidade potável
(cerca de 35 °C) com detergente, de preferência sem
aromas ou coloração articiais.
3 Enxágue com água de qualidade potável por
10-15 segundos.
4 Seque com um pano limpo ou deixe secar em uma

1 Coloque no cesto superior da lava-louças.
2 Execute o programa padrão usando detergente de lava-
louças padrão doméstico.
3 Se não estiver totalmente seco após o programa da lava-
louças ser nalizado, seque com um pano limpo ou deixe
secar em uma superfície limpa.
Etapa 2 - Desinfecção
Aviso
Desinfecte antes do primeiro uso e pelo menos uma vez por
dia. Limpe antes de desinfectar.
Tenha cuidado: após a desinfecção, os protetores de mamilo
podem estar muito quentes. O estojo de higiene e a água
restante no estojo ainda podem estar quentes. Para evitar
queimaduras, só use após esfriar por 5 minutos.
Avisos para evitar contaminação e para garantir
a higiene
Se você usar o estojo de higiene para desinfecção:
- Limpe o estojo antes do primeiro uso.
- Use o nível de água, potência do micro-ondas e tempo
corretos. Caso essas instruções não sejam seguidas,
inecácia na desinfecção e dano ao estojo ou aos
protetores de mamilos podem ocorrer.
- Use apenas o estojo fornecido.
Ebulição
1 Limpe conforme descrito em “Limpeza”.
2 Ferva os protetores de mamilo com água de qualidade
potável por 5 minutos.
3 Deixe secar em uma superfície limpa.
Micro-ondas - De forma alternativa, use somente o estojo
de higiene fornecido de acordo com as instruções abaixo.
1 Limpe o estojo de higiene (conforme descrito em
“Limpeza”).
2 Adicione 25 ml de água de qualidade potável ao estojo,
até a linha indicada (Fig. 1).
3 Coloque os protetores de mamilo no estojo de higiene e
feche a tampa rmemente (Fig. 2).
4 Coloque o estojo de higiene com os protetores dentro do
micro-ondas por 3 minutos a 750-1000 W (Fig. 3).
5 Deixe o estojo de higiene esfriar por 5 minutos (Fig. 4).
6 Drene a água do estojo de higiene (Fig. 5).
7 Seque os protetores de mamilo com um pano limpo ou
deixe secar em uma superfície limpa.
Uso
Aviso
Lave bem as mãos e os seios com água e sabão antes de
tocar nos protetores de mamilo para evitar contaminação.
Aplicação do produto - Siga as instruções abaixo ao colocar
o produto no seio:
1 Remova o protetor de mamilos limpo e desinfetado do
estojo de higiene.
2 Coloque a água de qualidade potável ou o leite materno
no lado voltado para a pele para ajudar o protetor a
grudar na pele (Figura 6).
3 Segure o protetor na base da área do bico e pressione
a cavidade do bico parcialmente para fora, para que ele
que metade invertido (Fig. 7).
4 Gire o protetor para que o bebê possa ter contato do nariz
e queixo com a pele do seu seio (Fig. 8).
5 Centralize o protetor sobre o bico e estique levemente
as abas do protetor conforme você encaixa o produto no
seio (Fig. 9).
6 Com o protetor aplicado, agora você pode amamentar
normalmente.
Armazenamento - Guarde os protetores de mamilo limpos
no estojo de higiene ou em um recipiente seco e limpo.
Guardar os protetores de mamilo em um recipiente sujo ou
úmido pode causar contaminação.
Descarte - De acordo com os regulamentos locais.

Kullanım yeri - Philips Avent Göğüs Ucu Koruyucu,
emzirme dönemindeki annenin göğüs uçlarında tahriş, aşırı
hassasiyet, çatlak olması ya da ağrı hissedilmesi durumunda
kullanılmalıdır. Ayrıca, bebekte oral anormallik varsa veya

Kullanmadan önce
1. Adım - Temizleme
Uyarı
Göğüs ucu koruyucuyu temizlerken aşındırıcı temizlik
maddeleri veya konsantre kimyasallar veya malzemeler
kullanmayın. Göğüs ucu koruyucuyu ve hijyenik muhafazayı
ilk kullanımdan önce ve her kullanımdan hemen sonra
temizleyin.
Manuel temizleme
1 Ürünü içme suyuyla 10-15 saniye süreyle yıkayarak
temizleyin.
2 Tercihen yapay koku veya renklendirici içermeyen
deterjan eklenmiş, ılık (yaklaşık 35 °C) içme suyunda
temizleyin.
3 Ürünü içme suyuyla 10-15 saniye süreyle yıkayarak
temizleyin.
4 Temiz bir bezle kurulayın veya temiz bir yerde kurumaya
bırakın.
Bulaşık makinesinde temizleme
1 ürünü bulaşık makinesinin üst rafına yerleştirin.
2 Normal bulaşık makinesi deterjanı kullanarak standart
programda makineyi çalıştırın.
3 Standart program tamamlandıktan sonra makineden tam
olarak kuru çıkmazsa ürünü temiz bir bezle kurulayın veya
temiz bir yerde kurumaya bırakın.
2. Adım - Dezenfeksiyon
Uyarı
Ürünü ilk kullanımdan önce ve her gün en az bir defa
dezenfekte edin. Dezenfeksiyondan önce ürünü temizleyin.
Lütfen dikkat edin: Dezenfeksiyondan sonra göğüs ucu
koruyucusu çok sıcak olabilir. Hijyenik muhafaza ve içinde
kalan su da hâlâ çok sıcak olabilir. Yanma kaynaklı yaralanma
ve tahriş yaşamamak için ürünü 5 dakika soğuttuktan
sonra kullanın.
Kontaminasyonu önlemek ve hijyen sağlamak için
uyarılar
Dezenfeksiyon için hijyenik muhafazayı kullanmanız
durumunda:
- Muhafazayı ilk kez kullanmadan önce temizleyin.
- Su seviyesi, mikrodalga gücü ve süresi için doğru değerleri
kullanın. Hatalı değer kullanımı, etkisiz dezenfeksiyona
neden olarak muhafazanın veya göğüs ucu koruyucunun
hasar görmesine yol açabilir.
- Sadece cihaz ile birlikte verilen muhafazayı kullanın.
Kaynatma
1 ‚Temizleme‘ bölümünde açıklanan şekilde temizleyin.
2 Göğüs ucu koruyucuyu içme suyunda 5 dakika süreyle
kaynatın.
3 Temiz bir yerde kurumaya bırakın.
Mikrodalga - Alternatif olarak, yalnızca ürünle birlikte
verilen hijyenik muhafazayı aşağıdaki talimatlara uygun
biçimde kullanın.
1 Hijyenik muhafazayı (‚Temizleme‘ bölümünde açıklanan
şekilde) temizleyin.
2 Muhafazaya belirtilen çizgiye kadar (25 ml) içme suyu
ekleyin (Şekil 1).
3 Göğüs ucu koruyucuyu/koruyucuları hijyenik muhafazanın
içine yerleştirin ve kapağını sıkıca kapatın (Şekil 2).
4 Dolu hijyenik muhafazayı mikrodalgaya yerleştirin ve
cihazı 750-1000 W (Şekil 3) ayarında 3 dakika boyunca
çalıştırın.
5 Hijyenik muhafazayı 5 dakika boyunca soğumaya bırakın
(Şekil 4).
6 Hijyenik muhafazadaki suyu boşaltın (Şekil 5).
7 Göğüs ucu koruyucuyu/koruyucuları temiz bir bezle
kurulayın veya temiz bir yerde kurumaya bırakın.
Kullanım
Uyarı
Kontaminasyonu önlemek için göğüs ucu koruyucuya
dokunmadan önce ellerinizi ve göğüslerinizi sabun ve
suyla iyice yıkayın.
Ürünün uygulanması - Ürünü göğsünüzün üzerine
yerleştirirken aşağıdaki talimatları uygulayın:
1 Temizlenen ve dezenfekte edilen göğüs ucu koruyucuyu
hijyenik muhafazadan çıkartın.
2 Cildinize iyice yapışması için koruyucunun cildinize bakan
kısmına az miktarda içme suyu veya anne sütü koyun
(Şekil 6).
3 Koruyucuyu göğüs bölgesinin altından doğru tutun ve
göğüs ucu boşluğuna içi kısmen dışa gelecek biçimde
bastırın (Şekil 7).
4 Bebeğinizin göğüs bölgesi cildinizle burun ve çene teması
sağlayabilecek biçimde koruyucuyu döndürün (Şekil 8).
5 Koruyucuyu göğüs ucunuz üzerinde ortalayın ve ürünü
göğsünüze yerleştirirken koruyucu kanatlarını hafçe gerin
(Şekil 9).
6 Artık koruyucu takılmış haldeyken normal biçimde
emzirebilirsiniz.
Saklama - Temiz göğüs ucu koruyucuyu hijyenik
muhafazasında veya kuru ve temiz bir saklama kabında
tutun. Göğüs ucu koruyucunun temiz olmayan veya
nemli/ıslak bir muhafazada saklanması kontaminasyona
neden olur.
Ürünün Atılması - Yerel yasa ve yönetmeliklere uygun
biçimde yapılmalıdır.
