CİHAZI KULLANMADAN ÖNCE

• Satın almış olduğunuz cihaz, evde ve de

aşağıdaki ortamlarda kullanılmak için

tasarlanmıştır:

- İş yerlerinin, dükkanların ve/veya büroların

mutfak bölümlerinde

- Çiftliklerde

- Tek bir müşterinin özel kullanımı için hotellerde,

motellerde, residence'larda, pansiyonlarda.

Cihazınızı en iyi şekilde kullanmak için, ürünün

tanımı ve yararlı tavsiyeleri bulunduran kullanım

kılavuzunu dikkatli okumanızı tavsiye ederiz.

Bu talimatları, ileride danışmak için saklayınız.

1. Cihazı ambalajından çıkardıktan sonra, hasarlı

olmadığından ve kapının mükemmel

kapandığından emin olun. Olası hasarlar, cihazın

teslim edilmesinden sonraki 24 saat içinde

satıcıya bildirilmelidir.

2. Soğutma devresinin tamamen etkin olmasını

sağlamak için cihazı hizmete geçirmeden önce en

az iki saat bekleyin.

3. Montajın ve elektrik bağlantısının, yerel güvenlik

standartları uyarınca, üreticinin talimatları

doğrultusunda nitelikli bir teknisyen tarafından

gerçekleştirildiğinden emin olun.

4. Cihazı kullanmadan önce içini temizleyin.

1. Ambalaj

Ambalaj malzemesi, %100 geri dönüştürülebilir

türdendir ve geri dönüşüm sembolü ile

işaretlenmiştir. Bertaraf etme için yerel kurallara

uyun. Ambalaj malzemesi (plastik torbalar, polistrol

parçalar, vb…), potansiyel tehlike kaynağı

olduğundan, çocukların ulaşamayacağı yerlerde

saklanmalıdır.

2. Hurdaya çıkarma/Bertaraf etme

Cihaz, geri dönüştürülebilir materyal ile üretilmiştir.

Bu cihaz, 2002/96/EC, Waste Electrical and

Electronic Equipment (Elektrikli ve Elektronik

Ekipman Atıkları) (WEEE) Avrupa Direktifi uyarınca

işaretlenmiştir. Bu cihazın doğru şekilde bertaraf

edilmesinin sağlandığından emin olduğunuzda,

çevre ve sağlık açısından potansiyel negatif etkileri

önlemeye katkıda bulunursunuz.

Cihaz veya bunun beraberindeki dokümantasyon

üzerindeki sembolü, bu cihazın domestik atık

olarak işlenmemesi gerektiğini ve elektrikli ve

elektronik cihazların geri dönüşümü için uygun

toplama noktasına teslim edilmesi gerektiğini belirtir.

Bertaraf etme anında, besleme kablosunu keserek,

kapıları ve rafları sökerek, çocukların cihazın içine

kolaylıkla erişemeyeceği şekilde cihazı kullanılmaz

kılın.

Cihazı, atıkların bertaraf edilmesi için yerel

Bilgi:

Bu cihaz, CFC içermez. Soğutma devri, R134a

(HFC) veya R600a (HC) içerir, cihazın içinde

bulunan seri numarası plakasına bakın.

İzobütanlı (R600a) cihazlar için: izobütan, çevreye

zarar vermeyen, ancak kolay alev alıcı doğal bir

gazdır. Bu nedenle, soğutma devresi borularının

hasar görmemiş olduklarından emin olmak

zorunludur.

Bu ürün, Kyoto Protokolü çerçevesinde konu edilmiş

fluorlu sera gazlarını içerebilir; soğutucu gaz,

hermetik olarak kapatılmış bir sistem içinde bulunur.

Soğutucu gaz: R134a, 1300ʼlük küresel ısıtma

potansiyeline (GWP) sahiptir.

Uygunluk beyannamesi

• Bu cihaz, yiyecek maddelerini muhafaza etmeye

yöneliktir ve 1935/2004 sayılı yönetmeliğe (CE)

uygun üretilmiştir.

ÇEVREYİ KORUMA ÖNERİLERİ

MONTAJ

• Cihazın hareket ettirilmesi ve montajı, iki veya

daha fazla kişi tarafından gerçekleştirilmelidir.

• Hareket ettirmeler esnasında zemine (örn. parke)

hasar vermemeye dikkat edin.

• Montaj esnasında cihazın, besleme kablosuna

hasar vermediğinden emin olun.

• Cihazın bir ısı kaynağına yakın olmadığından

emin olun.

• Uygun bir havalandırma sağlamak için, cihazın

her iki yanında ve üst kısmında bir boşluk bırakın

ve montaj talimatlarını uygulayın.

• Cihazın havalandırma deliklerini, tıkanmayacak

şekilde açık bırakın.

• Cihazın soğutma devresinin borularına hasar

vermeyin.

• Cihazı, boyutlarına ve kullanımına uygun bir

ortama, ağırlığı taşıyacak bir zemin üzerine monte

ve tesviye edin.

• Cihazı kuru ve iyi havalandırılan bir ortama

yerleştirin. Cihaz, seri numarası plakası üzerinde

belirtilen iklim sınıfına göre aşağıdaki aralıklardaki

ortamlarda işlemek için öngörülmüştür. Cihaz,

öngörülen aralığın üzerindeki veya altındaki bir

sıcaklıkta uzun süre bırakıldığında doğru

işlemeyebilir.

• Seri numarası plakasının üzerindeki voltajın,

evinizin gerilimine uyduğunu kontrol edin.

• Gerek tekli gerekse çoklu adaptörler veya

uzatmalar kullanmayın.

• Su şebekesine bağlantı için yeni cihaz

beraberindeki boruyu kullanın ve eski cihazın

borusunu kullanmayın.

• Besleme kablosunun modifiyesi veya

değiştirilmesi sadece nitelikli personel veya Teknik

Servis Hizmeti tarafından gerçekleştirilmelidir.

• Elektrik şebekesi bağlantısının kesilmesi, fiş

çekilerek veya prizin önüne yerleştirilmiş bir çift

kutuplu şebeke şalteri aracılığıyla mümkün

olmalıdır.

GÜVENLİK

• Cihaz içine itici gazlar veya parlayıcı maddeler

içeren sprey tüpleri veya kaplar koymayın.

• Cihazın ve diğer beyaz eşyaların yakınında

benzin, gaz veya alev alıcı sıvılar saklamayın ve

kullanmayın. Nitekim yayılan buharlar, yangın

veya patlamalara neden olabilir.

• Buz çözme sürecini hızlandırmak için üretici

tarafından tavsiye edilen mekanik, elektrikli veya

kimyasal düzenlerden farklı düzenleri kullanmayın.

• Üretici tarafından açıkça onaylanmış tipte

olmamaları halinde cihazın bölmelerinin içine

elektrikli aletler koymayın ve bunların içinde

elektrikli aletleri kullanmayın.

• Bu cihaz, onların emniyetinden sorumlu bir kişi

tarafından denetim altında tutulmadıkları veya

cihazın kullanımı hakkında bilgilendirilmedikleri

takirde fiziksel, duyumsal veya zihinsel

kapasiteleri yetersiz veya bilgi ve deneyim sahibi

KULLANIM

• Herhangi bir bakım veya temizlik işleminden önce

fişi elektrik prizinden çıkarın ve elektrik

beslemesini kesin.

• Buzmatik ve su pınarı ile donatılmış tüm cihazlar,

sadece içme suyu sağlayan bir su şebekesine

(0,17 - 0,81 MPa (1,7 - 8,1 bar) arası şu şebekesi

basınçlı) bağlı olmalıdır. Su beslemesine

doğrudan bağlı olmayan buzmatikler ve/veya su

pınarları, sadece içme suyu ile doldurulmalıdır.

• Soğutucu bölmeyi, sadece taze yiyeceklerin

saklanması için, dondurucu bölmeyi ise

dondurulmuş yiyeceklerin saklanması, taze

yiyeceklerin dondurulması ve buz küplerinin

üretilmesi için kullanın.

• Sıvı içeren cam kaplar patlayabileceklerinden

bunları dondurucu bölmede depolamayın.

Yukarıda belirtilen önerilere ve önlemlere

uyulmamış olması halinde, üretici her türlü

sorumluluktan muaftır.

Dondurucu, dondurulmuş yiyeceklerin muhafaza edilmesi ve taze

yiyeceklerin dondurulması için kullanılır.

Dondurucuyu ilk kez çalıştırma

• Termostattan dondurucunun sıcaklık ayarını yapmaya gerek yoktur, çünkü

cihaz zaten fabrika ayarlıdır.

• Cihazın fişini takın.

• Alarm sinyali etkinleşerek, dondurucunun henüz yiyecekleri muhafaza

etmeye yetecek kadar soğumadığını belirtir.

• Yiyecekleri dondurucuya sadece alarm sinyali devre dışı kaldıktan sonra

yerleştirin (ayrıntılı bilgi için ekteki ürün bilgilerine bakın).

Sıcaklığın ayarlanması

Sıcaklık ayarı için ekteki ürün bilgilerine bakın.

Not: Ortamdaki hava sıcaklığı, kapının açılma sıklığı ve cihazın konumu,

dondurucunun iç sıcaklığını etkileyebilir.

Termostat ayarlanırken bu unsurlar da dikkate alınmalıdır.

“6. His” fonksiyonu

6. His fonksiyonu, eğer varsa, aşağıdaki durumlarda otomatik olarak

devreye girer:

Kapı açıldığında

Kapının açılmasıyla iç sıcaklığın yiyeceklerin güvenle muhafaza edilmesini

sağlayamayacak bir seviyeye yükseldiği durumlarda, fonksiyon devreye

girer; ideal muhafaza koşulları yeniden sağlanıncaya kadar da etkin kalır.

Taze yiyeceklerin dondurucuya konulması

Fonksiyon, dondurucuya taze yiyecekler konulduğunda devreye girer ve

ideal dondurma koşulları yeniden sağlanıncaya kadar etkin kalarak, en

düşük enerji sarfiyatıyla en iyi dondurma kalitesini sağlar.

Not: Dondurucuya yüklenen yiyecek miktarının yanı sıra, ortam sıcaklığı ve

dondurucunun zaten içinde bulunan yiyecek miktarı da, 6. His

fonksiyonunun süresini etkiler. Bu nedenle sürelerin birbirinden çok farklı

olması normaldir.

Dondurma

24 saat içinde dondurulabilecek taze yiyecek miktarı (kilogram olarak),

cihazın bilgi levhasında belirtilmiştir.

Cihazın en iyi performansı sergilemesi için, taze yiyecekleri dondurucuya

koymadan 24 saat önce, hızlı dondurma düğmesine basın (sarı ışık

yanıncaya kadar).

Taze yiyeceği dondurucuya koyduktan sonra, 24 saat boyunca hızlı

dondurma fonksiyonu genellikle yeterli gelmektedir; 24 saat sonra hızlı

dondurma fonksiyonunu devre dışı bırakın.

Önemli:

Enerjiden tasarruf etmek için, küçük miktarlarda yiyecek dondururken, hızlı

dondurma fonksiyonu birkaç saat sonra devre dışı bırakılabilir.

Eğer 6. His fonksiyonu varsa, cihazın çalışması otomatik olarak kontrol edilir

ve hiçbir işleme gerek kalmaz (bkz. “6. His” fonksiyonu bölümü).

DONDURUCUNUN KULLANIMI

Taze yiyeceklerin dondurulması ve muhafazası için ipuçları

• Dondurmadan önce, taze yiyeceği hava almayacak şekilde sarın:

yiyeceklerin dondurulması için uygun olmaları kaydıyla, alüminyum folyo,

streç film, hava ve su geçirmez plastik poşetler, kapaklı polietilen kaplar

veya dondurma kapları kullanın.

• Dondurulmuş gıdaların yüksek kalitelde muhafazasını garanti etmek için

gıdanın taze, olgun ve kaliteli olması gereklidir.

• Tam orijinal besin değerini, kıvamını, rengini ve tadını korumak için taze

sebze ve meyveler tercihen alındıktan hemen sonra dondurulmalıdır.

Başta av etleri olmak üzere, bazı etler dondurulmadan önce askıya

asılmalıdır.

Not:

• Sıcak yemekleri dondurucuya koymadan önce daima, soğumaları için

bekleyin.

• Tamamen veya kısmen buzu çözülmüş olan gıdaları hemen yiyip tüketin.

Buzu çözülmüş olan dondurulmuş yiyecekler pişirilmeden önce tekrar

dondurulmamalıdır. Ama buzu çözülmüş bir yiyecek, pişirildikten sonra

tekrar dondurulabilir.

Taze yiyeceklerin dondurulması ve muhafazası

• Dondurulacak yiyecekleri sepetlerin içine yerleştirin.

• Buz paketlerini (eğer verildiyse), en üst bölmede saklanan yiyeceklerin

üzerine veya verilen alana (son ızgaranın üzerine) yerleştirin.

Önemli:

Yandaki tabloda dondurulmuş taze yiyecekler için önerilen azami

saklama süreleri verilmektedir. Beyan edilen performans, yükselme

süresi haricinde, cihazın buz paketleri olmadan çalışmasını temel alır.

Dondurulmuş gıdaların sınıflandırılması

Dondurulmuş yiyecekleri dondurucuya yerleştirin ve sınıflandırın. Gıdaların

son kullanma tarihinden önce tüketilebilmesi için, muhafaza süresi gıda

paketi üstünde belirtiliyor olmalıdır.

Donmuş gıdaların muhafazası için tavsiye

Dondurulmuş gıdaları satın alırken:

• Paketinin hasarlı olmadığından emin olun (paketi hasar gören donmuş

gıdalar bozulmuş olabilir). Eğer paket şişmiş haldeyse veya ıslak kısımları

varsa, uygun koşullarda muhafaza edilmemiş olabilir ve buzunun çözülme

süreci başlamış olabilir.

• Alışveriş yaparken, donmuş gıdaları en son alın ve ısı yalıtımı olan soğuk

poşetlerde taşıyın.

• Eve gelir gelmez dondurulmuş yiyecekleri hemen dondurucuya koyun.

• Kısmen bile olsa buzu çözülmüş yiyecekleri tekrar dondurmayın. Bunları

24 saat içinde tüketin.

• Sıcaklık değişimlerinden kaçının veya en aza indirin. Gıda paketinin

üzerindeki son kullanma tarihine uyun.

• Ambalaj üzerindeki muhafaza bilgilerine daima uyun.

Sepetlerin çıkarılması

• Sepetleri tümüyle dışarı çekin, ardından hafifçe yukarı kaldırarak

çıkartın.

stendiği takdirde çekmeceler (alt çekmece hariç), kızaklar ve beyaz ızgara

(varsa), yerlerinden çıkartılarak daha fazla muhafaza alanı elde edilebilir

(Şekil 1).

Yükün cihazın yan duvarlarında belirtilen sınırı (varsa) aşmadığından emin

olun.

DONDURUCUNUN KULLANIMI

AYLAR YİYECEK

Herhangi bir temizlik veya bakım işleminden önce, cihazın fişini prizden çekin veya elektrik

beslemesini kesin.

Elektronik modellerde; önce açma/kapama düğmesine basın, daha sonra cihazın fişini çekin.

Dondurucuda yılda bir veya iki kez, veya soğturma ızgaraları üzerinde aşırı buzlanma olduğunda, buz

çözme (defrost) işlemini yapın.

Izgaraların üzerinde buzlanma meydana gelmesi son derece normaldir.

Oluşan buzun miktarı ve birikme hızı; oda sıcaklığına, nem oranına ve buzdolabı kapısının açılma

sıklığına göre değişir.

Mümkünse dondurucunun buzunu neredeyse boş haldeyken çözün.

• Dondurucudan yiyecekleri çıkarın, gazete kağıdına sarın ve serin bir yere veya taşınabilir bir soğutucuya

birlikte koyun.

• Dondurucunun kapısını açık bırakarak, buzun erimesini bekleyin.

• Dondurucunun iç kısmını ılık su ve/veya nötr deterjanla ıslattığınız bir süngerle silerek temizleyin. Aşındırıcı

maddeler

• kullanmayın.

• İçini durulayın ve iyice kurulayın.

• Yiyecekleri dondurucuya geri koyun.

• Dondurucunun kapısını kapatın.

• Cihazın fişini tekrar takın.

• Cihazı çalıştırın.

Not: Elektronik modellerde önce elektrik fişini prize takın, daha sonra açma/kapama düğmesine

basarak cihazı çalıştırın.

DONDURUCUNUN BUZUNU ÇÖZME VE

TEMİZLEME

Bölme

Bu bölmeyi sadece şekil 2 ve 3'te gösterildiği gibi buz küpleri yapmak ve

buz paketlerini saklamak için kullanın (eğer verildiyse).

Dondurulmuş gıda paketlerinin üzerindeki son muhafaza tarihlerine

daima uyun.

Buz küplerinin yapılması

• Buz küpü kalıbını 2/3 doldurun ve özel dondurucu bölmesine yerleştirin.

• Eğer dondurucunun tabanına yapışmışsa, kalıbı buradan sökmek için

kesin veya sivri uçlu aletler kullanmayın.

• Küpleri çıkarmak için buz kalıbını hafifçe esnetin.

Not:

Dondurucunun kapağı, kapatıldıktan hemen sonra açılamayacaktır (özel

valfli modeller hariç).

Oluşan vakumun telafi edilebilmesi için, tekrar açmadan önce birkaç

dakika bekleyin.

2. Aşırı buzlanma var.

• Buz çözme suyu tahliyesi doğru yerleştirilmiş mi?

• Kapı iyi kapanmış mı?

3. Sarı, kırmızı ve yeşil ışıklar yanmıyor. 1.

maddedeki kontrolleri yapın, ardından:

• Servisi arayın.

Notlar:

• Cihazın ön kenarı çok sıcak olabilir. Bu,

yoğuşma oluşumunu önleme amaçlıdır ve bir

kusur değildir.

• Soğutma devresindeki genleşme nedeniyle

tıkırtı ve tıslama seslerinin duyulması son

derece normaldir.

ARIZA GDERME KILAVUZU

Bölmenin içini düzenli olarak ılık su ve/veya nötr bir deterjanla ıslatılmış

süngerle temizleyin. Durulayın ve yumuşak bir bezle kurulayın. Aşındırıcı

ürünler kullanmayın

Uzun süre kullanılmayacaksa

• Dondurucuyu boşaltın.

• Dondurucunun elektrik fişini çekin.

• Buzunu çözün ve temizleyin.

Kapıyı açık bırakarak, kötü kokuların oluşmasını önleyin ve rutubet

varsa giderin.

Not: Elektronik modellerde; önce cihazın elektrik fişini prize takın,

ardından açma/kapama düğmesine basarak cihazı çalıştırın.

TEMİZLİK VE BAKIM

• Buzdolabını ısı kaynaklarından uzak bir yere kurun. Sıcak bir ortama,

doğrudan güneş ışığı alan bir yere veya ısı kaynaklarının yakınına

(soba, kalorifer, ocak) kurulması enerji sarfiyatını artıracağından bundan

kaçınılmalıdır.

• Eğer bu mümkün değilse, şu asgari mesafelere uyulması şarttır:

• Kömür veya parafin sobalarına 30 cm;

• Elektrik ve/veya gaz sobalarına 3 cm.

• Cihazı kuru ve iyi havalandırılan bir yere kurun.

• İçini temizleyin (bkz. “Soğutucunun buzunu çözme ve temizleme").

• Verilen aksesuarları takın (Şekil 1 ve 2).

Elektrik bağlantısı

• Elektrik bağlantıları yerel tüzüklere uygun olarak yapılmalıdır.

• Voltaj ve enerji sarfiyatı, cihazın iç kısmındaki bilgi levhasında

belirtilmiştir.

• Cihazın topraklanması kanunen zorunludur. Üretici firma, bu

yönetmeliklere uyulmamasından kaynaklanan insan veya hayvan

yaralanmaları veya mal hasarları ile ilgili sorumluluk kabul etmez.

• Eğer fiş ve priz aynı tipte değilse, priz kalifiye teknik bir eleman

tarafından değiştirilmelidir.

• Uzatma veya priz çoğaltıcı kullanmayın.

Elektrik bağlantısının kesilmesi

Cihazın elektrik bağlantısını, fişini prizden çekerek veya priz hattı üzerine

takılacak iki kutuplu bir şalter vasıtasıyla kesmek mümkün olmalıdır.

Servisi aramadan önce:

1. Sorunu “Arıza Kılavuzu” nun yardımıyla kendi

başınıza çözüp çözemeyeceğinize bakın.

2. Sorunun çözülmüş olup olmadığını anlamak için

cihazı tekrar açın. Eğer çözülmemişse, cihazın

elektrik fişini prizden çekin ve tekrar açmadan

önce yaklaşık bir saat bekleyin.

3. Eğer bu işlemlerden sonra sorun hâlâ devam

ediyorsa, servisi arayın.

Aşağıdakileri belirtin:

• sorunun ne olduğu,

• cihazın modeli,

• servis numarası (cihazın iç tarafındaki bilgi

levhasında bulunan SERVICE kelimesinden

sonraki rakam),

• açık adresiniz,

• Telefon numaranız ve alan kodunuz.

Not:

Kapının açılma yönü değiştirilebilir.

Eğer bu değişiklik Servis tarafından yapılırsa,

garanti kapsamına girmez.

Önden tutacaklı modellerde kapının açılma yönü

değiştirilemez.

1. After unpacking the appliance, make sure it is

not damaged and that the door closes properly.

Any damage must be reported to the dealer

within 24 hours of delivery of the appliance.

2. Wait at least two hours before switching the

appliance on, to ensure that the refrigerant

circuit is fully efficient.

3. Installation and the electrical connection must be

carried out by a qualified technician according to

the manufacturer's instructions and in

compliance with the local safety regulations.

4. Clean the inside of the appliance before using it.

1. Packing

The packing material is 100% recyclable and bears

the recycling symbol. For disposal, comply with the

local regulations. Keep the packing materials

(plastic bags, polystyrene parts, etc.) out of the

reach of children, as they are a potential source of

danger.

2. Scrapping/Disposal

The appliance is manufactured using recyclable

material.

This appliance is marked in compliance with

European Directive 2002/96/EC on Waste

Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). By

ensuring the correct disposal of this appliance, you

can help prevent potentially negative consequences

for the environment and the health of persons.

The symbol on the appliance, or on the

accompanying documents, indicates that this

appliance should not be treated as domestic waste

but must be taken to a special collection centre for

the recycling of electrical and electronic

equipment.

When scrapping the appliance, make it unusable by

cutting off the power cable and removing the

doors and shelves so that children cannot easily

climb inside and become trapped.

Scrap the appliance in compliance with local

regulations on waste disposal, taking it to a special

collection centre; do not leave the appliance

unattended even for a few days, since it is a

potential source of danger for children.

competent local office, the household waste

collection service or the shop where you

purchased the appliance.

Information:

This appliance does not contain CFCs. The

refrigerant circuit contains R134a (HFC) or R600a

(HC) (see the rating plate inside the appliance).

Appliances with Isobutane (R600a): isobutane is a

natural gas without environmental impact, but is

flammable. Therefore, make sure the refrigerant

circuit pipes are not damaged.

This product may contain Fluorinated Greenhouse

Gases covered by the Kyoto Protocol; the

refrigerant gas is inside a hermetically sealed

system.

Refrigerant gas: R134a has a Global Warming

Potential of (GWP) 1300.

SAFEGUARDING THE ENVIRONMENT

INSTALLATION

• The appliance must be handled and installed by

two or more persons.

• Be careful not to damage the floors (e.g.

parquet) when moving the appliance.

• During installation, make sure the appliance

does not damage the power cable.

• Make sure the appliance is not near a heat

source.

• To guarantee adequate ventilation, leave a space

on both sides and above the appliance and

follow the installation instructions.

• Keep the appliance ventilation openings free.

• Do not damage the appliance refrigerant circuit

pipes.

• Install and level the appliance on a floor strong

enough to take its weight and in a place suitable

for its size and use.

• Install the appliance in a dry and well-ventilated

place. The appliance is arranged for operation in

places where the temperature comes within the

following ranges, according to the climatic class

given on the rating plate. The appliance may not

work properly if it is left for a long time at a

temperature outside the specified range.

• Make sure the voltage specified on the rating

plate corresponds to that of your home.

• Do not use single/multi adapters or extension

cords.

• For the water connection, use the pipe supplied

with the new appliance; do not reuse that of the

previous appliance.

• Power cable modification or replacement must

only be carried out by qualified personnel or by

After-sales Service.

• It must be possible to disconnect the appliance

from the power supply by unplugging it or by

means of a mains two-pole switch installed

upstream of the socket

SAFETY

• Do not store explosive substances such as

aerosol cans with a flammable propellant in this

appliance.

• Do not store or use petrol, flammable liquids or

gas in the vicinity of this or other electrical

appliances. The fumes can cause fires or

explosions.

• Do not use mechanical, electric or chemical

means other than those recommended by the

Manufacturer to speed up the defrost process.

• Do not use or place electrical devices inside the

appliance compartments if they are not of the

type expressly authorised by the Manufacturer.

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons

(including children) with reduced physical,

sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of

experience and knowledge, unless they have

been given supervision or instruction concerning

use of the appliance by a person responsible for

their safety.

• To avoid the risk of children becoming trapped

and suffocating, do not allow them to play or

hide inside the appliance.

• Do not swallow the contents (non-toxic) of the

ice packs (in some models).

• Do not eat ice cubes or ice lollies immediately

after taking them out of the freezer since they

may cause cold burns.

USE

• Before carrying out any maintenance or cleaning

operation, unplug the appliance or disconnect it

from the power supply.

• All appliances equipped with an automatic ice-

maker and water dispenser must be connected

to a water supply that only delivers drinking

water (with mains water pressure of between

0.17 and 0.81 Mpa (1.7 and 8.1 bar)). Automatic

ice-makers and/or water dispensers not directly

connected to the water supply must be filled

with drinking water only.

• Use the refrigerator compartment only for

storing fresh food and the freezer compartment

only for storing frozen food, freezing fresh food

and making ice cubes.

• Do not store glass containers with liquids in the

freezer since they may burst.

The Manufacturer declines any liability if the

above advice and precautions are not

respected.

The freezer can be used for storing already frozen food and for

freezing fresh food.

Switching on the freezer for the first time

• There is no need to set the freezer temperature on the thermostat

because the appliance is already factory set.

• Plug in the appliance.

• The alarm signal activates, indicating that the freezer has not yet

reached a sufficiently cold temperature for storage of foodstuffs.

• Only place food in the freezer once the alarm signal has deactivated

(for further details, see the enclosed product sheet).

Adjusting the temperature

For temperature adjustment, see the enclosed product sheet.

Note: Ambient air temperature, the frequency of door opening and the

position of the appliance can affect the freezer internal temperature.

These factors must be taken into account when setting the thermostat.

“6th Sense” function

The 6th Sense function, if present, is automatically activated in the

following cases:

Door opening

The function activates when door opening causes the internal temperature

to increase to a level that fails to guarantee safe storage of food; it remains

active until optimal storage conditions have been restored.

Placing fresh food in the freezer

The function activates when fresh food is placed in the freezer and

remains active until optimal freezing conditions are reached so as to

ensure the best freezing quality with the lowest power consumption.

Note: Besides the quantity of food loaded into the freezer, ambient

temperature and the quantity of food already inside the freezer affect the

duration of the 6th sense function. Therefore significant duration

variations are quite normal.

Freezing

The amount of fresh food (in kg) that can be frozen in 24 hours is

indicated on the appliance data plate.

For optimum appliance performance, press the fast freeze button (until

the yellow led lights up) 24 hours before placing fresh food in the freezer.

After placing fresh food in the freezer, 24 hours on fast freeze function is

generally sufficient; After 24 hours, deactivate the fast freeze function

Important:

In order to save energy, when freezing small amounts of food, the fast

freeze function can be deactivated after a few hours.

If the 6th sense function is present, appliance operation is controlled

automatically and no operation is required (see chapter "6th sense"

function)

HOW TO USE THE FREEZER

Tips for freezing and storing fresh food.

• Before freezing, wrap and seal fresh food in: aluminium foil, cling film,

air and water-tight plastic bags, polythene containers with lids or

freezer containers suitable for freezing fresh food.

• Food must be fresh, mature and of prime quality in order to obtain

high quality frozen food.

• Fresh vegetables and fruit should preferably be frozen as soon as they

are picked to maintain the full original nutritional value, consistency,

colour and flavour.

Some meat, especially game, should be hung before it is frozen.

Note:

• Always leave hot food to cool before placing in the freezer.

• Eat fully or partially defrosted foods immediately. Do not refreeze

unless the food is cooked after it has thawed. Once cooked, the

thawed food can be refrozen.

Freezing and storing fresh food

• Place foods to be frozen in the baskets.

• Place the ice packs (if supplied) in the space provided (on the last grid)

or above the food stored in the top compartment.

Important:

The table alongside shows the recommended maximum storage

time for frozen fresh foods. Declared performance refers to

appliance operation without ice packs, with the exception of the

rising time.

Classification of frozen foods

Put the frozen products into the freezer and classify them. The storage

date should be indicated on the packs, to allow use within expiry dates.

Advice for storing frozen food

When purchasing frozen food products:

• Ensure that the packaging is not damaged (frozen food in damaged

packaging may have deteriorated). If the package is swollen or has

damp patches, it may not have been stored under optimal conditions

and defrosting may have already begun.

• When shopping, leave frozen food purchases until last and transport

the products in a thermally insulated cool bag.

• Once at home, place the frozen foods immediately in the freezer.

• If food has defrosted even partially, do not re-freeze it. Consume

within 24 hours.

• Avoid, or reduce temperature variations to the minimum. Respect the

best-before date on the package.

• Always observe the storage information on the package.

Removing the baskets

• Pull the baskets out fully, then lift them up slightly in order to remove.

Drawers (except the bottom drawer), runners and the white grid

(if provided) may be removed in order to obtain increased storage

space (Fig.1). Ensure that the load does not exceed the limit (if present)

indicated on the side walls of the appliance.

HOW TO USE THE FREEZER

Before any cleaning or maintenance operation, unplug the appliance from the mains or

disconnect the electrical power supply.

For electronic models, first press the on/off button and then unplug the the appliance.

Defrost the freezer once or twice a year, or when the formation of ice on the refrigeration

grilles is excessive. It is perfectly normal for ice to form on the grilles.

The amount of ice which forms and the rate at which it accumulates will depends on room

temperature and humidity, and on the frequency with which the door is opened.

If possible, defrost the freezer when it is nearly empty.

• Remove the food from the freezer, wrap in newspaper and group together in a cool place or in a

portable cooler.

• Leave the freezer door open to allow the frost to melt.

• Clean the interior of the freezer with a sponge and warm water and/or neutral detergent. Do not use

abrasive substances.

• Rinse the interior and dry thoroughly.

• Put the food back into the freezer.

• Close the freezer door.

• Plug in the appliance once again.

• Switch on the freezer.

Note: for electronic models, first insert the power plug into the mains socket and then press

the on/off button to switch on the appliance.

For the correct defrosting procedure, refer to the PRODUCT DESCRIPTION SHEET.

HOW TO DEFROST AND CLEAN

THE FREEZER

Compartment

Use this compartment only for making ice cubes and storing ice packs,

as shown in fig. 2 and 3 (if supplied)

Always observe the storage times given on the frozen food

packages.

Making ice cubes

• Fill the ice cube tray 2/3 full and place it in the special freezer

compartment.

• Do not use sharp or pointed instruments to detach the tray if it is

stuck to the bottom of the freezer.

• Bend the ice tray slightly to remove the cubes.

Note: The freezer door will not re-open easily immediately after

closing (except for the models with specific valve).

Wait a few minutes before opening again in order to allow for

compensation of the vacuum created.

HOW TO USE THE FREEZER

1. The appliance is not working.

• Is there a power failure?

• Is the main power switch on?

• Has the fuse blown?

• Is the thermostat setting correct?

• Was the appliance switched on correctly?

2. Excessive frost build-up.

• Has the defrost water drain been positioned

correctly?

• Is the door shut properly?

3. The yellow, red and green leds do not light

up. Perform the checks for point 1, and then:

• Contact After Sales Service.

Notes:

• The front edge of the appliance may be hot.

This prevents the formation of

condensation and is not a defect.

• Gurgling and hissing noises due to

expansion in the refrigerant circuit are

normal.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

Before any cleaning or maintenance operation, unplug the

appliance from the mains or disconnect the electrical power

supply.

For electronic models, first press the on/off button and then

unplug the appliance.

Periodically clean the condenser at the rear of the appliance with a

vacuum cleaner or brush.

Periodically clean the inside of the compartment with a sponge dampened

in warm water and/or neutral detergent. Rinse and dry with a soft cloth.

Do not use abrasive products

Prolonged disuse

• Empty the freezer.

• Disconnect the freezer from the mains power supply.

• Defrost and clean.

Leave the door open to prevent formation of unpleasant odours

and to eliminate any dampness.

Note: for the electronic models, first insert the power plug into

the mains socket and then press the on/off button to switch on

the appliance.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

• Install the freezer away from heat sources. Installation in a hot

environment, direct exposure to the sun or installation near heat

sources (heaters, radiators, cookers) will increase power

consumption and should therefore be avoided.

• If this is not possible, the following minimum distances must be

respected:

- 30 cm from coal or paraffin stoves;

- 3 cm from electric and/or gas stoves.

• Install the appliance in a dry, well-ventilated place.

• Clean the interior (see “How to defrost and clean the freezer”).

• Fit the accessories supplied (Fig. 1 and 2).

Electrical connection

• Electrical connections must be made in accordance with local

regulations.

• Voltage and power consumption are indicated on the rating plate

inside the appliance.

• Regulations require that the appliance is earthed. The

Manufacturer declines all liabilities for injury to persons or

animals or damage to property resulting from failure to

observe these regulations.

• If the plug and socket are not of the same type, have the socket

replaced by a qualified electrician.

• Do not use extension leads or adapters.

Disconnecting the appliance

Electrical disconnection must be possible either by unplugging the

appliance or by means of a double-pole switch located upline from the

socket.

Before contacting After Sales Service:

1. See if you can solve the problem yourself with

the help of the Trouble-shooting guide.

2. Switch the appliance on again to see if the

problem has been solved. If it has not,

disconnect the appliance from the power supply

and wait for about an hour before switching on

again.

3. If the problem persists after this course of

action, contact After-sales Service.

Specify:

• the nature of the problem,

• the model,

• the Service number (the number after the word

SERVICE on the rating plate on the inside of the

appliance),

• your full address,

• your telephone number and area code.

Note:

The direction of door opening can be

changed.

If this operation is performed by After-sales

Service it is not covered by the warranty.

The door cannot be reversed on models with

front handle.

Fuse replacement

If the mains lead of this appliance is fitted with a BS 1363A

13amp fused plug, to change a fuse in this type of plug use an

A.S.T.A. approved fuse to BS 1362 type and proceed as follows:

1. Remove the fuse cover (A) and fuse (B).

2. Fit replacement 13A fuse into fuse cover.

3. Refit both into plug.

Important:

The fuse cover must be refitted when changing a fuse and if the

fuse cover is lost the plug must not be used until a correct

replacement is fitted.

Correct replacement are identified by the colour insert or the

colour embossed in words on the base of the plug.

Replacement fuse covers are available from your local electrical

store.

For the Republic of Ireland only

The information given in respect of Great Britain will frequently

apply, but a third type of plug and socket is also used, the 2-pin,

side earth type.

Socket outlet / plug (valid for both countries)

If the fitted plug is not suitable for your socket outlet, please

contact After-sales Service for further instruction. Please do not

attempt to change plug yourself. This procedure needs to be

carried out by a qualified technician in compliance with the

manufactures instructions and current standard safety

regulations.
